When I was 18 (2006), my mom and dad handed me down their 1998 Ford Explorer as a high school graduation gift, which I drove through my first 3 years of college. It had a 5.0 V8, had some good power, and it was great in the snow.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@Rose0415 Cool!

1931 Austin 7 chassis & engine, with someone's home built wooden body. 60 mph downhill with a following wind. Square cut gears & no synchromesh; double clutching mandatory (heel & toe.) Fun Times in the 1950s!

@MarbleMarvel They were tanks!! Pull anything and go anywhere and they were fast! 7,000 lbs of pure steel just rumbling down the road!
@slorollin did you have an 8track player? Fast and no weight in the ass end was good for burnouts 😂
slorollin · 41-45, M
@MarbleMarvel It did for about 2 hours. I went straight to Walmart and got a pioneer cd player and installed it in the parking lot! Oh man I could dump the clutch and roast those 32×12.50 mud kings 🤣🤣
Chevy Impala station wagon, hand-me-down from my stepdad. The thing got about 8 miles to a gallon and was as big as a boat. Sideswiped a taxi once and took out a lot of those orange traffic cones. Good times. 😌

Poor General/Prez Santa Anna,
Waged warfare on plain and montana.
But despite all the gore
Of each bloody war,
He failed to achieve top banana.
