I have a tv in my room, I listen to the Bible being read to me on YouTube. There are videos read in a calm voice especially done for sleep. I often have bad anxiety at night time and I find these really help me settle.

I realize, now, that lying in bed will just aggravate me, and it will NOT help me to sleep. So sometimes I get up and read or watch tv, sometimes I get onto my laptop, and sometimes I take a whole antihistamine...which always makes me sleepy.

If I can't sleep, it is because I can't get my brain to leave a troubling topic. I get up and read "old" poetry, none of the new stuff, and it flushes my brain so I can sleep.
