I have a degree in Bio Sciences and I'm here to tell you; if you want to change your eye color, buy some contact lenses and save your mental energies for something worth your time because it's absolutely impossible to change your dna through affirmations.
@salwa omg.. Placebo effect is completely different from what you are talking about.
Sounds like your friend’s taking too many hits from her bong.

eye color 'changes' are caused by the lighting being different when they look at their eyes in the mirror. It looks slightly different, so they think "I changed it" or "It changes based on my mood" or something. Or it's wishful thinking.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@SarahAndSamantha this! my eyes look different in various lighting … sometimes gray, sometimes dark blue, sometimes a bright sky blue
SarahAndSamantha · 46-50, F
@WaryWitchWandering Mine appear either a gray-blue, or just blue, or just gray. I used to think they were actually changing, then I did a lighting experiment lol

I was meditating really hard the other day and I think I might have levitated for a couple of seconds. So maybe!

Self affirmations can only change behaviours, not physical attributes.

Red hair does not turn blonde, so that was a stretch of your imagination.
Hair turning grey/white with age is not color change, it is a diminishment of natural pigment color in the hair. The natural color of ALL hair is translucent, but it's the color pigment from our DNA that turns translucent hair into it's apparent natural color of black, brown, red or blonde. As we age, that pigment disappears which then leaves the hair it's natural color once again, which is translucent which means grey/white/silver.
Vitiligo lightens skin from dark to a lighter shade of dark which we call brown, but it does not change skin color from black to white which you are suggesting to the contrary. That was another stretch of imagination on your part.
The physical attributes that can be changed by self-affirmations are body mass, muscle mass, flesh mass, bone mass, ALL diseases that affect the physical body and all thought-of-the-mind that affect the physical brain.

Precisely. If the pigment known as pheomelanin stops being produced, red hair fades to blond.

Sounds like you agree with the premise that skin can change colour but you disagee with the degree to which it can happen. If melanin production drops to zero, that skin would be considered "white".
What evidence do you have for this? I could see someone using affirmations to change their behaviours to effect those things, ie eating healthy and exercising, which was my original point.
I don't know what this means. Perhaps you could you rephrase it?

No, red hair does not fade to blonde. Blonde hair is NOT translucent hair. Blonde hair is blonde because it contains the color of silver. Silver is not grey and silver is not what translucent looks like. Why do you not understand these things?
No again, I do not agree that skin can change color, meaning that a Black person cannot suddenly find their skin looking like a Caucasian person's skin. This has absolutely nothing to do with the degree to which black skin lightens from black to brown. Why do you not understand these things?
What evidence do I have? Very dumb question to ask me. Prove that I'm wrong.
Of course you don't know what my quoted statement means. If you did, none this conversation would have continued past my first post.

I mean... is it a slight change in colour?
If so, it might not be the colour that changes but the perception, lighting, etc
If it's a completely different colour, it might just be psychosis
or she's just lying

Yes, absolutely. Of course, in addition to using her subconscious mind, she had $12K, which is how much an operation to permanently change your eye color costs.

I know that physical attributes can change by 'willing' our subconscious mind to make that change, but changing something like eye color or hair color is not really a physical attribute that is subject to change as our body changes with time anyway.
Because our physical body will change on it's own with time, we can 'will' any change we want to make to our body without the passage of time. Athletes do it all the time and an athlete's body just doesn't change because of physical activity.
If the athlete does not 'will' her body to change as she applies that placebo effect of exercise to her 'willing thoughts' to change those certain parts of her body, her body will not change by pure exercise alone. The body will only change in conjunction with 'willing thought' that accompanies the appropriate exercise.

i think this is the best answer here, i agree that just training some flesh and bones doesn't make it stronger, it becomes stronger as a response to strong will, the brain just decided to make the body stronger cause you have the will power enough to open something in it and i don't know what is it but i believe it exists
