Can someone change physical attributes using subconscious mind?

I have a friend that claim she could change her eye color using self affirmations before bed, can this be true?

eye color 'changes' are caused by the lighting being different when they look at their eyes in the mirror. It looks slightly different, so they think "I changed it" or "It changes based on my mood" or something. Or it's wishful thinking.

@SarahAndSamantha this! my eyes look different in various lighting … sometimes gray, sometimes dark blue, sometimes a bright sky blue

@WaryWitchWandering Mine appear either a gray-blue, or just blue, or just gray. I used to think they were actually changing, then I did a lighting experiment lol
