It always feels like they're just trying to be overly dramatic to me. I lose respect for people like that
.
.
@boklenholley7 well, I’m just gonna say I agree with you, but I will give them a second chance, I have to say
boklenholley7 · F
@Ghostinthemachine I will do, but they have to earn the respect back. \__(:s)__/
Blondily · F
Yet pets dont seem to mind it. lol

@Blondily let’s just say it’s not uncommon for me to trip over it, like untied shoelaces
Blondily · F
@Ghostinthemachine If that's true then the cats will want to get in on the action and play with it. 🤭
@Blondily what’s good for the canine is good for the feline 🐶🐱

Well, I’m just gonna read that.

stop sweating the small stuff
@Matt85 If we don’t sweat the small stuff, it can mutate into bigger stuff
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
I'm just gonna react to this post and scroll past it
@assemblingaknob I’m just gonna read this and add a laughing emoji at the irony

It's more expressing a thought, usually hesitation before saying something. You thought of something to say, decided not to say it, but then something made you want to say it after all so you voice that change of heart. "Oh whatever, I'll just say it anyway", that kind of thing.
@SW-User so sort of like a disclaimer to soften the impact ?
JustNik · 51-55, F
I would think it would be more to themselves they were saying it, but it would help me appreciate that it was not something they found easy to say and that would factor into my response to it.
@JustNik Ah, I see. You seem quite adept and knowledgeable in the art of human communication and conversation. I could learn a lot from you
JustNik · 51-55, F
@Ghostinthemachine I think that gives me too much credit. lol that’s just how I would interpret it - no idea if it would be right more often than wrong. 🤷♀️
@JustNik Or maybe in the whole grand scheme of things, none of it really matters as long as we are talking
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Similar to someone saying “no offense” before saying something intended to offend the listener 😆
bijouxbroussard · F
@luckranger71 Exactly !
@luckranger71 Saying “no offense” only serves as a dagger to the insult they just delivered
Mamapolo2016 · F
I think because experience has taught them others stop listening after "You're not going to like this."
At least as odd is, "There. I said it."
At least as odd is, "There. I said it."
@Spectra Whatever happened to the “humble brag” which always felt like an oxymoron to me, often spoken by morons
Mamapolo2016 · F
@Ghostinthemachine Yeah. I have spokeneth. So let it be written. So let it be done.
@Mamapolo2016 Amen 🙏

It’s like when people say “literally”
Expressions are popularized in media and then are perpetuated by the masses until they become dated and then something new comes along

Spectra · 26-30, F
@Muthafukajones Dude like literally that’s so true. Facts 💯 No cap 🧢 Period!!
@Muthafukajones The over use of the word “literally” is literally one of my biggest pet peeves! @Spectra
DemureDeb · 56-60, F
If someone says to you, "To be honest with you", does that mean that this person struggles with honesty?
Mamapolo2016 · F
@DemureDeb It does strike me as questionable. And "I'm being 100% honest with you" implies there are lower percentages of honestyS
DemureDeb · 56-60, F
@Mamapolo2016 Yes, exactly
Spectra · 26-30, F
😂😂😂 Reminds me of anime where there’s almost this unspoken rule that you have to announce the name of your attack before attacking
@Spectra or in action movies when the bad has the good guy all tied up and reveals his master plan, only to be foiled moments later
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
I do that in my head. We push ourselves. It's what makes us beautiful and chaotic. And at times funny.
@AlchemyFox sometimes we all need a gentle push.
Other times a firm kick in the @ss!

I'm just gonna..um..I don't know. Spontaneity is the key.
@Sevendays I agree! It makes me wanna…I dunno, be spontaneous
deadteddy · 26-30, F
I’m just going to comment this.
@deadteddy I’m just gonna heart and reply to this
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
I'm just gonna comment a bit here
@Queendragonfly a bit more please
bijouxbroussard · F
That sounds like the resolve after internally disputing whether or not it’s something one should say. 😅
@bijouxbroussard It’s just the push they need to say something no one wants to hear.
And then…awkward silence 🤫
