I do the highlights of the day and any feelings or inspiration. Also keep track of daily steps and sleep patterns. Also include a daily Tarot card.
The journals were most helpful when helping the doctors with a timeline of my wife’s health issues.

yes and you should. I journaled for the first time in 2000 and in 2020 went back and read my 120 ish entries and it was amazing how it re-created my life from that time period. Have a journal now too --think I have about 25 ish entries so far.
If i could softly suggest, don't report your findings. Instead make it just for you. Don't tell anyone your journal screen name or where to find your writing.

I tried it and have no idea when the last entry was. Spring or summer last year? 🤔
I just see no point in it. I know what's in my head, writing it down won't make it any different. Honestly, venting on SW and having input from other people have always been much more helpful than personal journaling.

Sometimes I doodle.
Sometimes I get more creative.
And sometimes I pour my heart out.
Whichever path I take depends on what needs to get out of me and how badly I need to connect with the blank page before me. Sometimes it’s pretty, sometimes it’s not…which is very reflective of life I guess. But seeing things deconstructed in ink makes whatever feels “too big” feel much smaller and approachable. It helps me get through some of the messy feelings I was never taught how to deal with.

I tried to thinking it’d help, but it only made things worse for me. You aren’t in the same position, so it can be the opposite for you.

I try to write down things I'm grateful for every day. If I focus too much on the bad, the bad just seems to grow. But the same works for the good. :)

@boklenholley7 interesting
I do.. I have a bullet journal and I also keep a daily log in my daily planner.. I don’t use white paged, lined journals anymore, lines annoy me sm..
I use the planner to track and describe my day briefly because the space is small..
But my bullet journal is more like whenever I feel like going into depth, express something, or just be more artistic. I sometimes use stickers, junk journal, or just write in it.. it doesn’t have any real rules or anything. Whatever I feel like ig..
My bullet journal is newer to me, so I hope to be completely transitioned to it by next year.. (I bought my daily planner before I bought the bujo so I couldn’t give up on it..)
What do you have?

I’ve done a little, I wish I had kept a journal, although my memory is really good, I do at times wish I had wrote things down.
I’ve been making journal books.

I just rant to friends over text.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
I tried to but because of the way my mind works it kept turning onto poetry.
Selah ·
@AngelUnforgiven reminds me of my childhood diaries that turned into sketchbooks

I'm curious how this works out for you. I've never done it in any organized way.

I own several. With blank pages and a few doodles.
