Interracial relationships?

How do you guys feel about interracial dating? When i was younger i was all for it but as a guy in his early 30s lately ive decided its best to stay within my race. In the past i had experienced bouts of racism to a point where ive decided its not worth it. So what do y'll think?

If someone sees your race before they see the person you are, it’s best to stay out of it. Your question shouldn’t be even a question, as this shouldn’t be a taboo anymore. And I don’t even like to call it interracial relationships, I just call it “ multicultural “ .

@sree251 met my first girlfriend online. We started liking each other before we ever saw each other. Just based on text chatting. We had both kind of assumed we were the same race, but we were wrong. But because we already knew and liked each other, it didn't matter at all. Just sort of something we found humorous.

So yes, there are ways to see if you like someone before you see their race in a literal sense. The others have covered the more metaphorical sense so I don't need to rehash that

Dad's aboriginal,
Mum's white.
I have a Greek Aunt,
a Nigerian cousin,
a Phillippino sister in law.
One cousin who played for Port Adelaide, another whose playing for the Crows and One who I think moved to America to play Basketball.
And the family is Docker supporters.
Race has never been an issue.

Ageism is more of a problem that I tend to face over racism. I live in a hugely racist family, so I wouldn't bother dating anyone who isn't white to save them from suffering through that.

I do have problems with people getting my men confused with my father though - even though 20 years isn't that big as far as age gaps go these days... not when celebrities have 30+ year age gaps.

Most of mine have either not been my race, not my nationality, not even straight and not my age. I don’t think I’m doing terribly well. Thats what makes it fun though I guess. They say love is love. If it gets that far.

If I click with a person, and they click with me, that's all that matters to me. Race doesn't play into it. As far as anybody else having a problem with it, the imperfection is theirs. Their opinions on my relationships affect it in no way.

@JackdanielsA this makes no sense from a biological standpoint. “Inter-mixing” as you call it… is not a giant race blender. there are vast diversifications within races, and we continue to diversify. not to mention that each “mix” of person will be a unique mix of varied races and varied diversifications within that race. If the human race was 50 people of 20 races, I still think the combinations would be astounding… but as it is with 8 billion individuals living it’s a mind bending amount of possible permutations and diversification for each new person born.

I can understand not wanting to date white people if you're not white. People can seem nice but have a lot of hidden prejudices and not want to do anything about changing their mindset. And even if the person isn't racist, their family might be. There are a bazillion other people out there. I would have a hard time dating someone with that kind of built in baggage that is rooted in the oppression of me and other people that look like me.

I recall when the first coloured family moved to my home town. It was small. I have lived in large cities where Caucasians were minorities. Again, never met anyone I wanted to date from another race.

I don’t have any issue or think there is any problem with interracial dating. I don’t judge my prospective partners based on their race. Primarily I judge them on their mind and character. My boyfriend is multi-racial and he’s the best boyfriend I’ve had. I think it just makes him more interesting. Everything between us in terms of a relationship is properly aligned so why would it matter if he is part something else. Idk.

Achieving peace is possible if everyone focuses on staying in their own lane and minding their own business. I don't advocate for equality. Freedom of association is fine by me.

I don't have too much of a problem with interracial marriage or dating I've been married to two different races well one of them may have been a different species. I've dated black white asian Indian native American Hispanic. Really the deep down difference isn't there depending upon how people were raised and understanding the cultural differences.

It’s not something I thought about? Lol idk I’ve dated outside my race but I grew up in a pretty mixed family, so it was normalized to me since the beginning.
