DanielsASJ There's a lot of nuance here.
First, genetic diversity isn't always reflected in the way we usually view races. For example, there is more genetic diversity between southern Africans and central Africans. But in America, we wouldn't say these are two different races, we'd just say they're all black.
Secondly, humanity isn't able to be clearly classified into different genetics groups. Basically, if we got a bunch of biologists to group people into different races, there would be a lot of disagreements between them on who goes where, how many races there are, and so on.
Finally, the only way one virus would wipe out all of humanity is if we all became right-wing and rejected vaccines and face-coverings.
