What is the dumbest thing people take pride in?

I don't know. Many things named here are more a reaction to being made to feel small or ostracized. Im ok with any attempts to build ones confidence when its been trampled on.

Working themselves to early grave for someone else to get rich off of.
Working 7 days a week. Skipping lunches. Working extra hours without overtime or off the clock. Paying out of pocket for supplies work should provide. Not taking earned vacation time. Etc, etc, etc.
These aren't things to be proud off. You're just being used and abused.
