Just got back from the beach 😎
kwood1 · 61-69, M
@Kstrong it was lovely but the locals find it too cold
Kstrong · 56-60, F
@kwood1 as they are used to warmer weather, I'm just glad to get to the coast
kwood1 · 61-69, M
@Kstrong I just made the most of it anyway 😎

AbbeyRhode · F
Mountains, I feel at peace there.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AbbeyRhode I like them if there are forests on the mountains. I also like beaches but usually crowded and I don’t care for that. Something special about being around a lot of huge trees on mountains. The air smells cleaner and more oxygen in forests too.
itsok · 31-35, F
As someone who lives in the mountains, I prefer the beach.
@itsok Opposite here.
Umile · 41-45, F
I'm thinking Mountains.

Near a River or Waterfall.

Ooosaaaah.
Umile · 41-45, F
@cherokeepatti For reals. I'd die happy. :)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Umile a beautiful little cabin with a wood-burning stove. What a life.
Ferric67 · M
@Umile best of both worlds

I can see that 👍
jackson55 · M
I used to live in California. Mountains 30 minutes away. Ocean 90 minutes. Best of both worlds.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@jackson55 yeah. Did you go visit those places often. I always thought the Californians I knew were laid back. Well no wonder scenic spots within a short drive away. It’s easy to take road trips like that.
jackson55 · M
@cherokeepatti Lived there most of my life. I saw almost all of it by motorcycle. Rode in the Sierras often except winter.

I like the beach too,but,-and I know this is going to sound weird -I like cool weather beaches must more than hot weather ones.

@DavidT8899
Maine is just awesome
Cigarguy101 · 41-45, M
Mountains, nothing better than a cabin with a fireplace and a hot tub
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@Cigarguy101 My ideal winter retreat.
warm sunny beach!
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
The beach. I have been to a beach alone, not yet to mountains though.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CrazyMusicLover or bears or mountain lions.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@cherokeepatti Only bears here, we don't have mountain lions.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CrazyMusicLover We had a bear come into the city about 3 years ago. First one ever. Sometimes people see mountain lions not far from here. Once at Thanksgiving on a rural porch about 3 miles away.The couple was gone do the holiday and one was laying on the porch swing and the other on the porch. Neighbors saw them
smiler2012 · 56-60
@winencheese 🤔i would tend too agree with you but if you are looking for time of peace and solitude the mountains would a better call
4meAndyou · F
The mountains. I'd love to have a cabin in the mountains. I have extremely pale white skin, and I burn so easily that I have never enjoyed the beach, except to walk along it, fully dressed, and hunt for rocks.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti They do that, here, too. On the waterfront, there is a boat ramp, and people park there and really seem to enjoy feeding both the seagulls and the pigeons that hang out in the parking lot. We have a pigeon lady that actually gets the pigeons to land on her rolled down car window, and they eat out of her hand.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou When the Oklahoma City dump on the south side closes on Saturday at noon the seagulls will fly over to Moore which is a few miles away and circle over the Sam’s Club parking lot and other nearby businesses. There is a drainage canal in the area for water. They crapped up my car on a Sunday when the dump was closed, about a dozen big white craps on my burgundy color vehicle. I was disgusted by them. I wouldn’t feed a seagull if it was starving and staring me in the eyes begging for food.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti Well, they do like to crap on cars...🤣🤣🤣
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
Oh the mountains for sure.
The beach usually has a lot of people…and, well…people 🤦‍♀️
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
Both. I grew up by the ocean but I kinda prefer mountains
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
I live where there’s both in close proximity, so I have to say both.
Monday2 · 51-55, F
Vacation on the beach and I would never give up the mountains

I prefer the desert first , then the mountains. I enjoy the solitude and the variety of the flora and fauna that they are home to. The dangerous wild creatures, bear, mountain lions, jaguars, ocelots, bobcats, javelina, Gila monsters, tarantulas, coral snakes and over a dozen species of Rattlesnakes don't deter me in the least. And I have encountered all of them except the jaguar and ocelot in the wild over the years, as well as about ever other wild critter native to Arizona.
Teslin · M
Great question !! I love the beach, but they are always too crowded.
I can go hiking in the mountains and sometimes see very few people.
Northerner · 70-79, M
We live right beside the ocean ,so it is nice to go into the mountains from time to time.
Mountains. But watching the sunset from the pier is nice too.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
I longed to see the beach, now I long to see mountains.
exexec · 61-69, C
I prefer the Smoky Mountains since I live near the beach.
Convivial · 26-30, F
Either really... Though here our mountains are more " big hill" like lol
Markmywurdz · 56-60, M
Mountains. Which is just as well, because I live in Switzerland.
