Life
Most of them were already named but I will add Life is beautiful
I tend to watch most repeatedly if they're good, but some are so bad I can only watch once lol

12 Angry Men is a cinematic masterpiece.
Dial M for Murder is another noteworthy film.
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer presents a compelling narrative.
The Illusionist also merits recognition.
The Book Thief is a significant work in its own right.
I have only seen each of these films once, as I prefer to retain the memory of my initial viewing experience.

Schindler's list and the boy in the striped pyjamas immediately came to mind but also, the green mile was hard to watch

There’s hardly any that I’ve watched just the one time…..

Schindler’s List and Sophie’s Choice. Both are excellent and both about Nazi Germany. Brutal movies.

What Dreams May Come. It moved me beyond words when I saw it. After Robin died, I didn’t think I’d ever be able to watch it again. So far, I haven’t. 😞

Most any such movie with Al Pacino as the star (like Scarface)... the overacting is enough just the once.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
Any, I can't be F sitting and watching it all over

The first Practical Magic movie with Sandra Bullock... Again I had studied Wicca (Witchcraft) on and off since I was 16 years old and that movie just "Gets me in my feelings" for certain reasons... I love that movie But can't watch it...

Hustler Original Paul Newman film..I remember it being very long, slow and in black and white..But I loved it..I might have watched a couple of times though

Hmmm .. dont think I have one for that criteria

@OlderSometimesWiser I watched that for the first time last year, with my middle sister. We were pretty much in tears at the end.
@bijouxbroussard Gut wrenching and unforgettable. This film, Sophie’s Choice, Life is Beautiful and Schindler’s List, all brilliant but too heartbreaking to watch more than once.
Musicman · 61-69, M
None. If a movie is that good I definitely want to see it a few times.

Nobody mentioned the Sixth Sense
Albeit, you can watch it over, but it loses its umph

Requim for a dream - It's just watching pain for 102 minutes, but it'll be an entertaining 102 minutes!
Manchester by the Sea - Just pain. Is it entertaining? I suppose, I watched it very intently, but more like a car crash... Whenever you think it can't get any worse, it gets worse!
@CrazyMusicLover already mentioned Grave of the Fireflies, absolute must watch for every anime/Ghibli fan. Beautifully made but soul crushing. I watched it last year and still get teary eyed sometimes.
Dark City (kinda) - if you watch it, it has to be Directors Cut because the theatrical version gives away the entire story in a text blurb at the beginning >:( the movie is well made but it really works best without prior knowledge
Schindler's List - speaks for itself.

@SnickersDOM don’t you ever do the same thing more than once or eat the same food often. Imagine only having pizza one time lol. That’s why we do it. Still get enjoyment from rewatching. Everybody is different and sure I’ll rewatch movies because of your B reason. One thing I like is rewatching a movie I loved with someone seeing it for the first time.
