I’m an addict. My poison is stimulants. Almost 8 years clean. So I’ve been up for 5 or 6 days at a time.

I'm thinking 5 or 6 days...

I have a procrastination issue and when I was younger, I could make up for it by getting everything completed usually by working all night and catching up and I actually usually worked better at night with less distractions. So that was highschool or college.

I once had to work the phone for 36 hours taking media calls from around the world. As we finished deadlines in one time zone, we would come up anew in a the next time zone. It started a little after 5 pm on a long weekend so no one else to back me up. I had already put in an 8 hour workday, so approaching 50 hours. I was taking little short cat naps between calls towards the end when things began to slow down, but not real sleep.

I usually get my sleep but one new job wanted to test me so I stayed awake 18 hours and had to beg off more overtime so I could make it home safe.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Three days and basically cost me my job at the end. I was still on call and couldn't wake up.
@DeWayfarer what kept you up for so long?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@ThePatientAnarchist military didn't care that you had been working for three days straight. If you are on call you better answer.

Thirty two hours. The Navy isn't big on sleep, especially when on deployment.
