Yes out of anger
chasingMonday · 41-45, MNew
@HumanEarth did you regret it?
HumanEarth · F
No not really. Because at that moment I really hated them.
4meAndyou · F
No. My father once told my mother that he hated me, (used the term, "that woman"), while we were all in the car together. I think I had been imitating a television show character, and I had just said, in a very bored voice, "Are we THERE yet???" I meant it to be funny...but my father had no sense of humor.
Toward the exes, I DEMONSTRATED my feelings once to the second ex...(my son's father)...and threw a glass of iced tea all over him including the ice cubes...when he came to raid my jewelry box to get my wedding rings and my nice clothing so that he could give it all to his slut girlfriend. That was BEFORE he Jimmied open the back door with a crowbar and stole the refrigerator and the dishwasher so that he could give them to his girlfriend's mother. I had to go to court before he would give them back.
I never once said that to the third ex, even on the day I told him I wanted a divorce. I still loved him. But he WAS making my life extremely miserable with his rage issues and his mental illness...and I didn't want the last years of my life spent in misery...and I DID say that to him.

No way. I couldn't say something so cruel to someone I loved. Even if I'm angry with someone, I make it clear that I love them. Anger is temporary, but the hurt caused by such words would last a long time.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@AbbeyRhode Puts me in mind of something my late wife said to me once, when we had had a row (probably my fault). "I don't like you. I love you, but I don't like you."
Ducky · 31-35, F
When I was younger and less mature, I would. But I've grown up and learned to think before I speak, especially when I'm mad. Most of all, never to say things I don't actually mean.
chasingMonday · 41-45, MNew
@Ducky I respect that
rinkydinkydoink · M
Close to that but not quite - - - something I'm not proud of. I was drunk (no excuse I know but it explains why I went for the jugular) when my then girlfriend said at the end of a verbal fight "You probably don't even love me!". I responded with "ha HA! Love you?? I don't even like you!"
Things were never quite the same after that...

morrgin · F
Yes and I meant it to my very core
SpectralMourning · 41-45, M
Never vocalized but sure I've had internal rage days where I'd think it.
Achelois · F
I have 😬 I didn’t love them anymore though to be fair.

@chasingMonday
It’s ok, they treated me terrible, they didn’t deserve me.
I just not good at holding back at times lol 🫣

Iwillwait · M
Yeah, I was over emotional and unwell.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
No, and I've been mad and hurt enough to do so. It took everything I had to keep my temper in check.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
No I could never do that no matter how angry I am
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@chasingMonday I have felt it but I would never say it

DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Never. In my household growing up, we actually were punished if we said we hated someone.
Gingerbreadspice · F
Yes. Nobody is perfect.
chasingMonday · 41-45, MNew
@Gingerbreadspice do you still hate them?
Gingerbreadspice · F
@chasingMonday No. I’ve never hated them it’s just what I say in rage.
chasingMonday · 41-45, MNew
@Gingerbreadspice gotcha
YoMomma ·
You can love and hate someone at the same time
RogueLodyte · M
No, but these days, anything short of "yes dear" is interpreted as hate.
QueenofZaun · 26-30, F
