I believe real love takes time to develop, although a strong attraction can occur at first sight.

I believe for me personally it takes time to develop. I can have a crush but crushes come and go. It takes a lot for me to fully, actually fall in love.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@KentuckyFriedFloozy wow two years!!! you’re going for the record
@Ferise1 never said I was. But I'm in a happy relationship that's going great.

What you're doing is projecting onto other people. You're generalizing every single relationship out there. Claiming that no relationships built on love are capable of lasting is how a 13 year old incel would rationalize things 🤣

It's childish thinking.

Stop indulging in andrew tate/incel social media bs and maybe touch grass once in a while. It's good for you.

I believe in love at first sight because i have it for every cute animal ever on the entire internet and world..

Tho that’s probably not what you are asking and mean romantically.. yes i believe in that too.. when you love someone’s face at first sight and 20 years latter still admire every angle of their face tho they piss you off and you hate their guts half the time because they are annoying af yet they snore cutely when they are sleeping..

I know that not everyone has a good or bad marriage.. some have something in between and it’s a choice.. relationships are a choice to chose someone above everyone else.. and if you decide that in the first moment that you see them then so what? .. just because it’s five minutes old doesn't mean its not real

But there is also slow love that people grow into a more deeper appreciation of a person who is there for you and supports you and helps you and comforts you and makes your life better .. this is a bond of trust a relationship that one can depend on that goes beyond visible sight

That being said there are looks a person has based on their personality and who says one’s subconscious mind can’t recognize it even tho we don't understand it or know it? Shrugs

I didn't use to, but as soon as my best friend introduced me to her new boyfriend, I knew I had to have him for myself. Within a few months he left her for me and we're now planning a life together 🥰
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
@Katie01 lol
So are you still friends with her?
Katie01 · F
@SilentObZerver yep we're still as close as we always were. She was happy for us when we got together

I agree with these guys

Would you believe in a love at first sight?

Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time

What do you see when you turn out the light?

I can't tell you, but I know it's mine

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Adogslife · 61-69, M
You can love immediately, but that’s quite a bit different from a real, soulful love. That takes time.

Learning to love someone’s idiosyncrasies can’t be immediate.
I think it takes time to develop. My personal belief is that while you can certainly lust at first sight, it takes knowing someone before you can really love them. 😊
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
I believe in infatuation at first sight. Love on the other hand takes time to prove itself. Anyone can give the illusion of love in the beginning.
SouthernGuy1987 · 36-40, M
Real love takes lots of time to develop. Life is not a fairytale or Disney movie. Have to be true and realistic about it. Lust at first sight happens all the time but never love at first sight, not how that works
Pfuzylogic · M
I think both are true but I was smitten with my first wife when I saw her at the church door.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
Yes, I believe in love at first site, I'm certain that it happens all the time.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@hunkalove

What site is that? 🤔
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
At first sight its only lust. Not love. It takes time to get to know someone's heart.
meggie · F
I think it takes time. You can see someone and have a deep attraction, but it's not love.
laurieluvsit · 26-30, F
Yes, the perception of Love at First Sight is very real.

Whether it will last is a different question all together that you might also want to ask Mr Bot.

You can thank me later ...lol

Thrust · 56-60, M
@laurieluvsit

How about love at first taste? 🤤
has anybody spied somebody across a crowded room and thought... "hmm gee. i bet they have an awesome personality and can hold a conversation"?..

lust leads to love.
Tumbleweed · F
Lust at first sight? Absolutely.
But love takes time and trust.
Achelois · F
No I don’t believe in love at first sight, that’s lust…

Love takes time 🕰
Bleed · 41-45, F
Real love takes time but it comes much quicker when there’s that instant spark of undeniable lust
@Bleed Somebody blocked me, is it rude if I ask what was said?

I agree with your original response.
Bleed · 41-45, F
@SinlessOnslaught If someone blocks you just forget about it.
@Bleed Okay 👍
onewithshoes · 26-30, F
You can have a strong attraction to someone at first sight, and he or she might be in your destiny, but it takes time to know.
Lostpoet · M
I believe I fall in love with most women at first sight and that it takes a long time to truly fall in love with someone.
bugeye · 26-30, F
I think you can be attracted at first sight. That's literally what being attractive means, you can lust after somebody but love will take time.
@Tumbleweed I'm the living proof of that. My father saw my mum the first time he decided that he'd marry her only.
or should i walk by again....
Ferric67 · M
Lust at first sight

Love grows over time into an ever maddening bond
It’s almost if it grows stronger with time
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
Well perhaps attraction at first sight.....

But i think people who dont believe in love at first sight think , it is love when its delayed and not acted on at first instance
YoMomma ·
I believe in both ☺
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
I believe love can begin at first sight
faery · 31-35, F
Lust at first sight can turn into love at varying speeds, but falling out of love can happen just as fast or slowly.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I don't think that's real love. You can't know everything about someone with a single look, no matter what the movies tell you.
yugimotodm · 26-30, M
Time to develop
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
I’d believe in love at first sight… if I was blind before
DDonde · 31-35, M
At first sight is a crush. It takes time to develop.
Allelse · 36-40, M
Both. But if you want to ruin love at first sight, then get to know the person.
supersnipe · 61-69, M
Attraction at first sight is possible, but love? Only time will tell.
Jexie · 26-30, F
It def takes time. At first sight means going on looks alone which is delusional
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
It can happen, yet it's rare though.
Adrift · 61-69, F
It Depends on if this question could include puppies
Time. Love at first sight is infatuation.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Takes time.

"At first sight" is just lust/pheromones.
It doesn't exist. It takes time to develop.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
Women want love and sex and men want either one or the other that’s why it will never work
Relationship in olden times were forced and relationships in modern time simply don’t work
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
@Ferise1 interesting
