I believe for me personally it takes time to develop. I can have a crush but crushes come and go. It takes a lot for me to fully, actually fall in love.

@KentuckyFriedFloozy wow two years!!! you’re going for the record
@Ferise1 never said I was. But I'm in a happy relationship that's going great.
What you're doing is projecting onto other people. You're generalizing every single relationship out there. Claiming that no relationships built on love are capable of lasting is how a 13 year old incel would rationalize things 🤣
It's childish thinking.
Stop indulging in andrew tate/incel social media bs and maybe touch grass once in a while. It's good for you.

I didn't use to, but as soon as my best friend introduced me to her new boyfriend, I knew I had to have him for myself. Within a few months he left her for me and we're now planning a life together 🥰

@Katie01 lol
So are you still friends with her?

I agree with these guys
Would you believe in a love at first sight?
Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
What do you see when you turn out the light?
I can't tell you, but I know it's mine
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends

You can love immediately, but that’s quite a bit different from a real, soulful love. That takes time.
Learning to love someone’s idiosyncrasies can’t be immediate.

I think it takes time to develop. My personal belief is that while you can certainly lust at first sight, it takes knowing someone before you can really love them. 😊
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
I believe in infatuation at first sight. Love on the other hand takes time to prove itself. Anyone can give the illusion of love in the beginning.
SouthernGuy1987 · 36-40, M
Real love takes lots of time to develop. Life is not a fairytale or Disney movie. Have to be true and realistic about it. Lust at first sight happens all the time but never love at first sight, not how that works
Pfuzylogic · M
I think both are true but I was smitten with my first wife when I saw her at the church door.

I believe real love takes time to develop, although a strong attraction can occur at first sight.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
At first sight its only lust. Not love. It takes time to get to know someone's heart.
meggie · F
I think it takes time. You can see someone and have a deep attraction, but it's not love.
laurieluvsit · 26-30, F
Yes, the perception of Love at First Sight is very real.
Whether it will last is a different question all together that you might also want to ask Mr Bot.
You can thank me later ...lol

No I don’t believe in love at first sight, that’s lust…

Real love takes time but it comes much quicker when there’s that instant spark of undeniable lust

SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
Well perhaps attraction at first sight.....
But i think people who dont believe in love at first sight think , it is love when its delayed and not acted on at first instance

Lust at first sight can turn into love at varying speeds, but falling out of love can happen just as fast or slowly.

Lust at first sight
Love grows over time into an ever maddening bond
It’s almost if it grows stronger with time

I don't think that's real love. You can't know everything about someone with a single look, no matter what the movies tell you.

Time to develop
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
I’d believe in love at first sight… if I was blind before
Allelse · 36-40, M
Both. But if you want to ruin love at first sight, then get to know the person.
supersnipe · 61-69, M
Attraction at first sight is possible, but love? Only time will tell.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
It can happen, yet it's rare though.

Time. Love at first sight is infatuation.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Takes time.
"At first sight" is just lust/pheromones.

Women want love and sex and men want either one or the other that’s why it will never work
Relationship in olden times were forced and relationships in modern time simply don’t work
