I want to take care of my son and hubby till they don't need me

TexChik · F
I wish I weren't, but I am. I prefer that it were not the case, but it is. Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me ...but I will be clinging tightly on to Jesus' hand. 😇
TexChik · F
@Thinkerbell No, and even Jesus himself didn't get a free pass. He promised to be there for me, and I'm holding him to it.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@TexChik

You can count on it, Tex. 🫂

No. After my son died last year, I can’t imagine my own death being any worse. Some days, I think it would be a relief.
@BamPow I’m so sorry. 🥺
Thinkingdeeper · 36-40, M
No but I want to outlive my spouse so I can ensure I can take care of her until the end. The reality of medical stuff means either of us could go at any time.
Ashly · 26-30, F
Not really, it’s something all of us will inevitably experience

It’s the how and when that I often wonder about 😕
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Ashly what about after?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Ferise1
what about after?

Do you remember what it was like before you were born? Well, just like that, but a lot more of it 😀

Why would you expect anything else?
Ashly · 26-30, F
@Ferise1 I’m a firm believer that there is another life after death 🙏
Levenrack · 46-50, M
No, just painfully and slowly. Now when my 2 kids(17, 20) were younger, I did have a fear of not being here for them. From death, or just not being here in general.

@PinkMoon so brave
Scared no but as i have now hit retirement age and all the time i here of people passing away at only 70s it makes you wonder how much time you have left. Hulk hogan was only 71 thats only 5 years older than me
swirlie · 31-35
@nevergiveup
You have to take into consideration the type of people and the lifestyle they were living who have recently died in their early 70's. Don't use Hulk Hogan as your benchmark for average longevity of the human male. Hulk Hogan was a prolific steroid user his whole life and most athletes who have used steroids regularly typically have a high mortality rate.
@swirlie I have been fighting all my life after getting cancer at 13. !8 operations latter and i am still here. Like my profile name. I have 4 kids and 5 grand kids. I have to much to live for
swirlie · 31-35
@nevergiveup
I recently attended a memorial service for a friend of mine who was almost 40 years my senior. He always wanted to look like Hulk Hogan and he always did, which means he took steroids all his life to achieve that goal, plus spent most of his spare time in the gym lifting weights just like the Hulk did, but then died at the age of 69.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Yes, as worried about my children and grandchildren
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
I don't believe in life after death. I believe in Life after life. What we call death is just a transition from our spirit inhabiting our body to our spirit leaving our body for the last time. The body without the spirit is dead but the spirit does not die.
swirlie · 31-35
@hippyjoe1955
Couldn't have stated it more accurately myself!
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Probably more the manner of it rather than the event itself.

I mean it sounds nicer to just drift away in your sleep as opposed to losing your ability to breathe doesn't it.
I fear the lead-up more than the actual event, having witnessed some agonizing departures.
LordBarbossa · 36-40, T
Not death itself, but the unknown. I believe in reincarnation, not because it makes sense to me, but because it brings me comfort to think death isn't the end.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I definitely feel like it's something to be avoided. I wish I had the faith that others have. Maybe what I need is another paranormal encounter to remind me.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Not of death itself but the idea that I could die when those who are close to me need me is very disturbing to think about.
geminirising · MNew
I'm not because I feel positive that I will go somewhere nice
Yes I'm scared I'll die before my kids are old enough to be on their own
helenS · 36-40, F
I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I don't mind
Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
supersnipe · 61-69, M
@helenS Yes.
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
@helenS Pink Floyd?
helenS · 36-40, F
@tobynshorty 🎶 👍🏽
Not at this distance, whatever that distance is. It worries me not at all. My attitude might change if I learned death is coming tomorrow at 2 pm.
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
Yes i am afraid.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
I don't fear being dead.

The process of dying is another matter, however.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
wow, you get straight to the point
No .. lived a decent life .. when my number is called I'll go
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Not really. Like theres times in danger that make you really think about your life but i think im ready to accept it when the time comes.
faery · F
Yes. Because all I've ever been so far is alive
wackidywack · 26-30
death or the experience of what it is is unknown essentially. im more specifically scared of the unknown

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.” - Mark Twain
meJess · F
Nope been there already, only for a very short time. Nothing to see here is probably the right expression
Ducky · 31-35, F
Depends on the day, if I feel I have something to live for or if my self-contempt is high enough.
gregloa · 61-69, M
Anyone who isn’t scared of death is a liar. Especially when we are getting older and feeling it and hearing about all the famous people dying at a fairly young age.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
Not afraid of death but afraid to leave my kids
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Nope, I’m scared of an unlived life
No just want to live as long as possible
Onryo · 22-25, F
No, I look forward to it. Nothingness is so much better than pain
Entwistle · 56-60, M
No,as no state of existence or nonexistence is permanent.
If nonexistence were permanent then i wouldn't be here now.
Julien · 36-40, M
Scared of dying not necessarily of death
Possibly of dying, but not death itself. I’m hoping it will be quick, with a minimum amount of fear and pain but, it comes as it comes.

Yes. Because when I'm dead I can no longer enjoy Feet.
Ironhand · 51-55, M
Nope...

I oughta already be dead multiple times..

So I'm good..
Justme264 · 70-79, M
@Ironhand Indeed - I don't think Keith Richard is frightened of it
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Ironhand
Nope...
I oughta already be dead multiple times..
So I'm good..

Have you ever considered the possibility that you have actually died numerous times already? According to the Bible the human life span is supposed to be 120 years.

I have been in several accidents and have lots of medical conditions. So, maybe I have died countless times but will continue on until I reach 120 years, when I will die for good. We could have a weird reality where other people are born and die and events continue in our individual reality. But the people we think have died are still alive in their own reality until they reach 120 years.

Wouldn't that make a great movie?
swirlie · 31-35
It's not death I fear, it's the speeding locomotive I can see looming in the distance as I struggle to untie the ropes that bind my hands and feet to the tracks that have me a little concerned though...
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
No because it is a part of life, we all have to die someday
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
Yes it’s infinite hell!😰
