Do u hold grudges, or let go?

I know of an 86 ur old woman who never holds on to anything..isn't even bothered by insults, or unfairness. I can't relate to her at all...can u?

Yes, but I don't hold them long unless the person has really hurt me. It's more important to ask yourself, do you carry those grudges unto others? You may know, even if you want to let some in, you are dealing with their grudge too, so it more asks how are you with strangers and people you meet?

I don't ruminate often over very many things. Even the few lifelong grudges I have lie dormant, as long as paths don't intersect. I don't get het up. Too much cortisol
Wiseacre · F
@seaglass yes, Ik about cortisol. I can feel when it's surging.
seaglass · F
@Wiseacre Take it easy on yourself 🤗
Lilymoon · F
Yeah I hold on to it if it was particularly mean. I can maybe forgive but never forget
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
I try not to. But some people get under your skin don't they. So I just ignore,don't speak to,and keep my distance..
Love that attitude though,never holding onto such thoughts,must have a very strong mindset
Wiseacre · F
@HotPizza71 the person who told me this had suffered a brain Injury..may be a connection??
supersnipe · 61-69, M
I can understand that. Life is short, especially at 86!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
No. And one of the reasons why I don't block anyone.

You can get me mad though. Yet it's usually on the spot. Never long.
Wiseacre · F
@DeWayfarer good for u!
SarahAndSamantha · 51-55, T
I used to say I can forgive, I just can't forget.

Now I do neither
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Not any more. I distance myself from it, takes too much energy.
Wiseacre · F
@Degbeme distracting means u stuffed it down
Miram · 31-35, F
I hold a grudge over one issue.
The rest I can forgive.
Wiseacre · F
@Miram may I ask what issue?
Miram · 31-35, F
@Wiseacre child abuse.
Wiseacre · F
@Miram u just need to understand, no need to forgive. Understanding is more important than forgiveness. Find out WHY they abused u and take it from there.
exexec · 70-79, C
I let them go. I don't need the negative feelings.
exexec · 70-79, C
@Wiseacre It took a while for me to be able to do it.
Wiseacre · F
@exexec how long is a while?
exexec · 70-79, C
@Wiseacre I don't remember, probably until I matured a bit and decided that only I could control my attitudes.
Straylight · 31-35, F
I forgive, but don’t forget.
Lostpoet · M
I hold them I have little brother syndrome😡 its a thing
kendoll · M
I let grudges fade into oblivion along with the person who is responsible for the grudge.
Wiseacre · F
@kendoll sounds too easy.
trash · 31-35, M
let go. always: either via forgiveness or via hiring a hitman to help me bridge the gap to forgiveness (jk)
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
never. Never in my eternity.

Ferric67 · M
Most things just roll off of me
Wiseacre · F
@Ferric67 Genetic
Ferric67 · M
@Wiseacre yeah, I think so too
powernap · 56-60, M
The secret is relatively simple. She chooses how he lets things affect her.
Wiseacre · F
@powernap I couldn't do it if u held a gun to my head. If life were that simple, no one would hold grudges. We do not choose our feelings.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
at 86 I wouldn't have time
Wiseacre · F
@pancakeslam claims she's always been this way. She has no lines on her face.. thought she was 70. Works if u can do it.
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
I get mad, but I get over it and let go. Then I give it to God.
I have a few decades old ones.
Wiseacre · F
@NativePortlander1970 ik how it feels...
