I didn't think much about it until my late 60's.

Thirty was very hard for me it already seemed like I missed out so much on life. I think for guys we see aging in diminishing our physical abilities and women see it that they become less attractive. Which isn't true there are plenty forty something year old women that are more attractive than their twenty something year old self it's all in the way you take care of your body and mind.

For me ageing only held the fear of not having time to get everything done and leaving things unfinished. I am through all that now, so its day by day and each one is a bonus..😷

I think it depends on the person, and not on their sex. I believe that very shallow people, who care deeply about their physical appearance, are bothered far more when they begin to show their age.

According to this young women in the shopping centre. I look like I'm in my 20's. Well late 20's. But she was trying to sell me something... so 🤷♂
Jonjdw · 51-55, M
I’m not bothered by it. But sometimes I do think wow I’m in my 50s. What happened.
I think women are but honestly if you are happily married there should be no fear of ageing. Although im 31 so ask me again in 20 years
BlueVeins · 26-30
@Girlyfriendcollecting Married people still get sick and die when they're old.
@BlueVeins yea they do but then it is hard to find anyone because most likely you have had kids and you have a house.

When I was young I was terrified of aging. But now I have more pressing matters weighing on my head so I am trying to make sure I get the chance to age gracefully rather than not at all, lmao.

@GeistInTheMachine (whispers) You’re still young. 😊

I think men, although I'm not thrilled about getting much older since I'm close to 60.
Convivial · 26-30, F
I think us mostly as a broad brush statement... I don't see men spending as much on lotions ;)

I don't give a damn about aging because I've always looked younger than my age. Right now, health is wealth .

It’s not that women fear aging more. It’s that society fears aging in women more than it does in men.
Having said that, instead of competing with age through injections, women could simply normalize aging. The real courage is keeping your real face.

I think that comes down to the individual person
There is definitely more pressure on women about aging societally.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
All adults, I suspect.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Women and justifiably. Society is cruel to women as soon as more prominent wrinkles start to show up.

I think women still get more static because of it.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard I can see that, but men have such egos, that sometimes, I think they are more concerned about not being seen as productive / losing strength as they age.
My husband struggled some with not having the strength and endurance as he had when younger.

We age from the moment egg and sperm join. And it continues until the organism that is our body dies.
