Do you still write using pen and paper?

Fairydust · F
Yes, I also use a paper diary.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Never need a battery or a satellite.

I can challenge you to race if we ever to meet face to face.

I will bet you 25¢ that I can find any location faster than you

Paper VS Digital
Fairydust · F
@HumanEarth

I’m good at finding locations, I drive all over for work.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
So do I, (well when I was working regularly, thanks seizures)
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
About 80% of the time

I still hand write letters and postcards for one thing

Plus I only write in cursive
Matt85 · 36-40, M
I do for my shopping list and to take my meter readings.

It's always good to have them handy.
ThickMadame · 51-55, F
All the time

I barely use a computer device.

I always forget to check my email. Sometimes I go a week or more without checking it.

If you look at my activity on here. I'm not very active user.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
Depends upon purpose and audience. As a professional journalist/writer, I already could type from 80-100 words a minute on typewriters depending upon manual or electric, but word processing was a God send both for adding to the speed and editing capabilities on large articles and documents, and speedy communication through email. With a full-sized keyboard that is. Those advantages shrink along with the keyboards as you go to laptop to tablet to phone.

And while I am not an iron clad etiquette dinosaur who insists that most social communication needs to be handwritten, the hand-written note or card on special occasions or to convey highly personal feelings (rather than the I'm sending a card because society and/or marketing says I should) does add something to the message. It communicates a little more investment, a little more personality.

Then there are the making of lists, jotting down thoughts/ideas, outlining things, etc. -- I still find it easier to jot them down with pen and paper. And my printer is happy to oblige by generating reams of scratch paper from malfunctions.
Lostpoet · M
It's the only way I write every poem looked like this at some point.
Pfuzylogic · M
often, twice daily I write my blood sugar levels down.
SW-User
Yup but can’t deny that my handwriting is deteriorating lol
NerdySoph · 26-30, F
Rarely, but sometimes yes.
yea....I am not sure why but somehow it helps me think better

maybe it has to do with transient currents as signals cross the corpus callossum
Unlearn · 41-45, M
@OliviaOfTheNight me too. I guess it forces us to be more present in the current moment...
WandererTony · 56-60, M
Hardly ever. We don’t even use the printer in our office these days. 😊
Covid wfh taught us to become paperless at work !!
helenS · 36-40, F
