@AdmiralPrune I'm bisexual. I'm attracted to both men and women. I've had sex with both and enjoyed it, and wish to continue. Unfortunately, the current American regime is working with Christian nationalists (who, despite the name, are really neither, and more akin to what I call Christofascists) to get fellas like me declared immoral and homosexual activity declared illegal.

Right now, they're working on overturning state bans on gay conversion camps, which are basically camps where they torture queer teenagers until they pretend they are cured. They are also trying to find a way to overturn the Supreme Court decision that would allow me to marry whom I please. But that's a little trickier, because there's also federal law preventing them from banning that.

@LordShadowfire I’m sure you’re already aware of this, but in my conversations with conservatives I find they are so very anxious about personal liberties and freedoms.

Think about how anxious they get when someone tries to take away their guns.

And that’s the angle I would go with when this subject arises in this forum. It’s not about being gay or straight, about flags and so on. It’s about personal freedoms. You can connect with centrists and moral conservatives and they will see your side of things more clearly.

Avoid throwing symbols in their face, if they can’t identify with them it will only deepen the divides. If you can avoid it you will find support amongst a silent majority.
