Potato salad vs Macaroni salad?

Which do you prefer on a picnic? Also, hard boiled eggs: yay or Nay?

for a picnic make my Italian potato salad. potatoes, onions, celery, olives, tomatoes, sweet pepper slices in an oil and vinegar dressing. holds longer than a mayo dressing

@saragoodtimes I'm gonna try sweet peppers! That sounds good. I use Miracle Whip instead of real mayo, I like the tangy taste. Other that that, our tastes are very similar. If you're not careful, I might develop a crush on you! ☺️

Marilyn Harris who played Little Maria in '31 Frankenstein, when asked by director James Whale (knowing that she would be required to be thrown into the lake in the scene with Boris Karloff's monster) what she would like, she happily exclaimed, "A dozen hard boiled eggs!" Depending on who made it and how, macaroni salad. But I wouldn't say "No" to potato salad -- or hard boiled eggs, though deviled eggs would be better.

@WizardofOz My favorite is actually my own tuna/macaroni salad, made with tuna, hard-boiled eggs, tomato, elbow macaroni, onion, seasoning, and Miracle Whip.

@ChipmunkErnie You know, I told a friend that I use Miracle Whip for salads and he looked at me like I was crazy! To me, real mayo has no taste! Miracle Whip goes so good with the other ingredients.

For a picnic, potato salad. But I do love a good macaroni salad, especially with Polynesian food.

As for eggs, I love eggs. I like deviled eggs for my hard-boiled eggs.

Potato salad. My recipe from my midwestern family contains 10 lbs of peeled, boiled potatoes, mayonaise, celery, onion, and a dozen hard cooked chopped eggs...so it's a twofer. ☺️☺️☺️

@fun4us2b The funny thing with me and coleslaw, is it always tastes different. From restaurant to restaurant, deli to deli or homemade. Some I really like, some I don't like at all.

@Ferric67 I told another person that coleslaw tastes different from deli to deli, restaurant to restaurant and even homemade. I either really like it or hate it. It seems like it's a gamble when I have it. On a side note, I really like KFC's coleslaw! 😂

@sstronaut It's an inside joke with my wife lol whenever she doesn't feel like cooking, she says, "tonight, we're having a picnic dinner". Then I know it's hamburgers or brats and either potato or macaroni salad.
