Potato salad vs Macaroni salad?

Which do you prefer on a picnic? Also, hard boiled eggs: yay or Nay?

Potato salad. My recipe from my midwestern family contains 10 lbs of peeled, boiled potatoes, mayonaise, celery, onion, and a dozen hard cooked chopped eggs...so it's a twofer. ☺️☺️☺️

@4meAndyou When I put, "yay or nay" about the hardboiled eggs, I should have specifically said, "hardboiled eggs in the salad". That's actually what I meant

@WizardofOz Ah. Well...definitely hard boiled eggs, chopped, in the salad. To me, it's just not potato salad without them.

@4meAndyou There's never eggs in it on the rare occasion I buy it at a deli, so I add my own.

@WizardofOz I think the eggs are more of a midwestern thing. They make potato salad absolutely delicious!
