Dad is German. Mom was also born in Germany, but mostly Greek with some German and Slavic in there.

When I fill in the forms I always tick British / Irish. But despite my Great grandad coming over to England some point in the civil war I've only been to Ireland a couple of times. It was drummed into me from my grandad that we were Irish Catholic blah blah blah. I then used it in the children's homes growing up as a barrier, a point of difference and to stop people wanting to be friends with me.

I only support Ireland at rugby when they aren't playing England. That's as far as my heritage takes me 🤣🤣🤣

As far as I know, all-English, but that could mean anything, especially if it were possible to trace our family's ancestry back 1000 years or more!

(That would be in Anglo-Saxon times: 1024 was 42 years before the Norman Conquest - and the Normans were France dwellers of Norse descent.)

My mum's British with Irish grandparents, my biological dad is probably something Mediterranean

All i know is we got some German in there, i should go see all the particulars on some service online but i've never done that before. I learned from my auntie a few days ago that granpa was too flat footed to go to the front lines of WWII, we weren't fighting for the Germans btw, we ended up in Canada because of that tyrant who got into power there.
