DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
A.S. in computer science/mathematics over many years and different colleges even when I was in the military. That was when the military didn't have the G.I. bill either.

It was harder that way, yet I really didn't have the money to continue after that. It was get a job or waste what little education I had.
I have a BS Mechanical Engineering but working on a second BS in Electrical Engineering while I work full time.

I didn't want to jump straight to a MS Electrical Engineering because I was scared I would just flunk out because it would be too hard.

I feel like I am the only person who has felt like going to college has been a gold mine.
@Magicianzini I am totally obsessed with my career so I have alot to say as you can see. I mean we are talking about my entire life during the day most of the week so...
@unsociableAnthony I see. And how long ago did you graduate with the BSME?
@Magicianzini it was about 8 years ago, 2018

Community college.
Mindful · 56-60, F
Yes, but I struggled all the way thru...my parents didn't speak English and I had a lot of catching up with vocabulary and thus comprehension .... I did graduate. Unfortunately I have an average intellect and now that I'm aging I feel even slower. I have been blessed/very lucky to have made it to where I am today....just surviving on a teacher's salary. TMI?
hunkalove · 70-79, M
I hated every moment I ever spent in a classroom. And I'm a college grad.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@hunkalove
Did that profound hatred ever leave you over the next 60 years?
hunkalove · 70-79, M
@swirlie Nope. I have no respect for school.
no money in degrees with no employment prospects.

museum curators are really in demand..

*arts degree*

I enrolled in college at 17 with plans to become a political science professor but dropped out a few months later. I finally graduated from college 35 years later and have been a, for the most part. middle school teacher for the last twenty years.
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
Im currently in it. I spent most my 20s being miserable and sacrificing myself because others couldn’t be responsible.
swirlie · 31-35, F
I attended university then took a different path. Wish I'd taken the different path first.
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
I attempted to go a few times. Dropped out each time for different reasons.
