Definitely! The odor just stinks and lingers in their clothes and everything.

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
The way things have gone health wise yes it is. Not to mention the history with my ex and he insisting it was his right to chain smoke in a house with our daughter despite her serious health problems. Had to go to court in part over that.
It honestly depends. If my future partner smokes, I'd voice my concerns for their health in the future.. but I won't force them to stop as it's their decision, no mine... but if they try to get me to start smoking, then I'm going to get them to stop smoking
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
No. Everyone is different. Eliminate too many things, then there's no one left.

I would rather stick with the important things like honesty.

A lier is a true deal breaker for me. So don't lie to me about anything, including smoking, then we'll be ok.

I thought it was when we were dating. Later, I found out she was secretly smoking, and I was okay with it. It was a tension reliever for her, and she stopped "cold turkey" when she no longer needed it.

I’m in the process of quitting myself, so I can’t fault people for what I’ve done as well.

No… i nagged my husband for years to quit till he finally got so sick (bronchitis) he quit on his own..
Greyjedi · M
In a corporal relationship yes, absolutely. In an online or astral/ethric relationship no. If I can smell her smoke it means we have truly connected.
Morvoren · F
Yes, it stinks. It makes their breath stink and it’s a smell that attaches itself to anyone close by.
cigarettes killed my mom and when i see people smoking i always think what a horrible death they will suffer. i can't help it.
in10RjFox · M
@beermeplease if you had known you would have explained how she died. What about those whose mom die while driving in a car accident? will they say what a horrible death they will suffer, why they see people driving ?
@in10RjFox i don't block much but you're annoying....care to block me?

Aa long as they respect my wishes not to smoke around me, im good.
Lugwho · 61-69, M
It would be now. My wife smoked when I met her, but so did virtually everyone I knew.
in10RjFox · M
Cigarettes are .. and hope you didn't mean other stuffs ..
Cigarguy101 · 41-45, M

JPWhoo · 36-40, M
I don’t think so, but it’s a pretty big negative.
Yes, of course.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
no
i mean i'd rather they didn't, cause it's slowly killing yourself
but it wouldn't stop me from loving someone
Deal maker 🤝
Monaschandroff86 · 18-21, F
No, I actually like it it’s a turn on
SamHarris · 31-35, M
One of the biggest deal breakers of all the top ten deal breakers.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
No but I don’t like it
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
Well if it's a deal breaker then keep on going
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
More and more it is, just not as acceptable as it once was and for good reason.

Not really just not in front of me and behind me or sides or while I am sleeping
hunkalove · 70-79, M
It's a slow painful suicide. It's death.
swirlie · 31-35
Absolute dealbreaker for me. I have no tolerance for anyone who STILL smokes cigarettes in this day and age. Smoking is SO passé that I cannot believe there are still adults out there who smoke regularly.
Anniedlr · 26-30, F
It’s a disgusting habit ☹☹
yes, it's a disgusting habit in multiple ways
