What is worst job you ever had?

Danny DeVito’s proctologist.
@OlderSometimesWiser That was kind of low. 😂😂😂😂

@Sojournersoul

I wonder if people like him are in short supply?

Delivering magazines to 488 homes for $0.01 per house.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@Bowenw Why'd you leave that cushy job? I got paid $25 per 1,000 houses. And the neighbourhood I had only had 300. Took nearly 6 hours to deliver.

@Bowenw

Did that happen to be 'Grit' magazine/paper?
Bowenw · 61-69, M
@PatKirby I believe it was called The Weekender.

Toss up between digging ditches in the desert at 115°f and grinding out cracks on the floor in a freezer warehouse at -10°f.

Must say bagging 90lbs bags of manure wasn't fun either. Yet it wasn't absolutely necessary to take breaks every 30 minutes.

One time i had to renovate a bathroom and the floor boards were saturated with like 10 years of missing the toilet. There was also black mold and hair in the drains.

Unloading fishing trawlers for $18 an hour. With shitty working conditions too, a buddy I went to school with died doing it.

The worst job only lasted one day as kind of an initiation. As a college student, I worked in a cotton mill. The first day on the job, I was told to clean the lint from under the looms in the weave shop. I could only use my arms. The weavers and fixers all dipped snuff or chewed tobacco and spit into the lint under the loom. I pulled out that white lint with brown tobacco juice and was covered with that icky mess. The next day I was given a real job of helping and overhauler.

Worked at my dad's garage for seven years. I got relative success.

Working at a gas station as a kid. That was horrible.

Working at a recruitment agency.

@meggie

Really curious, why is that?
Sevendays · M
I was hired buy a guy who sold and installed pools all over very Connecticut. I was supposed manage products. The first day I worked for him he wanted me to evict someone from an office in a complex he owned. That turned into a brawl, got arrested and bruised lots. That was my first and last day of that job.

I'd rather talk about the best job I had. In my early to late twenties. It kept me in good shape, I got lots of sun and lots of attention from teen girls right through a host of married women - - I delivered construction materials (mostly to construction sites) but quite a few to private homes.
Azlotto · M
The one I have now...I'm self employed...It was the best job I ever had until Biden took over.
Iwillwait · M
@Azlotto I'm feeling this a bit too.

My first job ever,a dish washer by hand,back when you could smoke inside,cigarette butts on the plates and in the coffee mugs,i would go in with a really bad hangover,i would almost puke,so nasty. lol
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Any job where I had to work indoors. I rather work outside in -70°F windchill or 100°F baking in the heat. Then work indoors anywhere.
rosyhills · 31-35, F
All of them.
I've never had a job I've liked.
I've had more than 10 jobs since 16 years old.
I don't make PETTY MISTAKES like all the rest of this population

Mucking out cow barn and chicken coop. I wasn't even paid for it. It was just a core growing up. Next to that, can't say I've done anything worse.
