1970s Chevy truck any of them. They lasted forever

I have had two Honda CRV’s and liked both. The first one got wrecked a couple years ago. Got one a few years newer and like it even more. Good gas mileage, seat warmers, safety features such as back up cams and alert for cars coming near when I put on my turn signal or backing up and a car comes close, and they are easer to drive and park.

2006 Cadillac DTS. I have 184,000 no problem miles out of it and it's still running fine, looks great and rides like a Cadillac. I have two other newer vehicles, a Cadillac and and a Dodge Ram, but I drive the DTS most of the time in town.

It most certainly doesn't sound like much, yet I morned on the day my 2000 Toyota Echo got rear-ended.
Not even the two people in the back were hurt. Even though it was hit by a very old battleyac.
Unfortunately that totaled it. 😔
I went over 1,300 miles to Texas in it a drove it back three years later and it still was in great condition.

That would have been my 2014 Subaru STI. Reasonably powerful, quick but not crazy, excellent seats, decent fuel economy (unless I was playing silly-bugger), amazing in all weather conditions, especially winter, just an incredibly driveable car. And absolutely reliable. Never back to the dealership other than for routine maintenance. Not once. And it held its value unbelievably well.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@FrozenWasteland I had a Subaru outback, wicked in the winter with all wheel drive.
FrozenWasteland · 61-69, M
@JimboSaturn all Subarus I've driven have been great in winter, but the STIs were in a class by themselves. That electronically controlled center diff makes it a different sort of cat. Its limits on a slippery road were higher than mine.

1979 AMC Concorde. It was basically new and had been parked for several years. I got it for $500, and put over 400,000 miles on it. So many fishing trips, and so many back packing trips, and moving hundreds of miles from home... and then back.

Practiical purposes - Honda Civic.
Fun-wise, around 2012 I had some 94 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, looked cool and kind of fast but had NOTHING but problems with it.

Every one of them.
I got over 100k with each car, and got over 300k with a truck.
Change the oil regularly.
I will say the '68 Buick Wildcat holds a place in my ❤.

Honda Accord, had a 2000 well over 200 k miles, got a 2013 and plugging along at 197k miles. Knock on wood very low maintenance cost other than oil changes

@PerfectionOfTheHeart So pretty. I bet you enjoyed cleaning her up for a trip.

For speed, a 78 Chevy Nova with a 350 bored 20 over and a 4 barrel carb on a three speed manual with a posi rear and straight pipes. Sounded angry, ran like a madman, looked like a rusted out white primer nightmare.
For refinement, my current 2024 Toyota Venza XLE Nightshade. Smooth, quiet, comfortable and gorgeous.

The one I'm driving now is really awesome. 2013 Honda Insight. Good mileage, good braking, zippy little thing, very low maintenance. Highly recommend.

Loved my Diamantés best. Had a silver 2000 LS and 2003 LS. Both saved my ass in accidents that weren’t my fault.
