What is the oldest or longest relationship that you have established on here? Is it still active and is its still important to you.

I have picked up only a few friends on SW. That is my choice as the bonds here are far less than those on EP. Those few know who they are. Now I have friends from EP who came here and I would say I have known them for over 10 years! Some I hear from occasionally, some more frequently, and others rarely. Each of them is dear to my heart. Times have changed over the years and so have people and connections. I do not spend much time on here as I have other priorities now. I couldn't have made it this far without my EP friends and my SW ones as well. I think of each of them with love and respect and gratitude. I like to think if they are gone, it is because they don't need this site anymore and life has treated them well.

I was young when I first joined and wasn’t the greatest person, so I didn’t make too many friends. I’ve changed a lot over the last few years and have been building some much better friendships. One or two people have been regularly commenting on my posts and they’ve helped me become a better person through doing so. People have moved from this site over the years and I do miss some of them.

I made a friend on EP in about 2009, I think, and we still email. She left EP and never bothered joining SW. I have other online friends that I’ve been close with for over 20 years that I met on other social sites.

I hope this finds them.

There’s one person from my chat room days that joined the site. He’s active-ish and I’ve known him a ridiculous amount of time.

There’s another I know from EP days who I still chat with here and there. Think it’s been like a 10 year whatevership that we’ve had.

Two of the closest friends I had here, whom I met 16 years ago on EP, both passed away in 2023. But there are still other old friends (and new ones) with whom I touch base regularly. And I always look forward to seeing them.

Oldest friend here was from before SW started, we're still on speaking terms but she lives in a turbulent country. I'm pretty much not that good with close cyber friends, mild intensity friendliness is best all round.

On here nothing because people go online off line its not stable but I recently reconnected with a middle school friend so that would be my current longest friendship but she lives six hour drive from me.

I only talk to one person here. That's mostly because of that person ability to continue it. I am so acward socially and remarkably boring.

I met my current partner here 7 years ago or so, although he left shortly after.

There were a couple friendships that lasted a couple years. The rest are just acquaintances that come and go.

7 years, we still speak often.

I started talking to Lissa in the second week of joining so since 2018.

My wife, we started talking ep in 2013.
