Are you in physical pain?

Tonight the whiplash pain on my neck (from a collision months ago) is really triggered. Plus my jaw hurts from night clenching, and to top it off, I just twisted my shoulder somehow reaching for something on a shelf.

Ughhh i just needed to vent it out. An ice pack is in my future ....

I feel like venting too when I'm in more pain then usual. Nothing wrong with it. Especially if it's something new and yet unknown to me.

I went to a doctor on Monday with on and off leg pain I had for three weeks and ever since then it stopped being an issue. 😅 I still bought meds she recommended but it's weird.

@CrazyMusicLover wow, so odd!! It's so weird, I had sharp little pains in my tooth for the last six years, minor but still enough to say, why does it feel so sensitive? Then last year it was daily pain for months. I decided it's time for the dentist. That day, it didn't hurt, when it had everyday for months (and slightly for years). I KNEW it had to be a cavity. They took an X-ray and no cavity!! 😲 And, it has not hurt for months ever since. So WEIRD!!!!!!!!! BUT I'm good with no pain lol.

@Coralmist I know this as well. Mostly in my upper molars on the left side. Now I rather use some protective gel first and if it helps, I know it was just cracked enamel or exposed tooth necks but I remember I had pain there in 2020, went to the dentist during the worst time in pandemic and he couldn't find anything. There was an old filling there and I was certain there was some problem with it, so he drilled it out, replaced with a new one and it calmed down. But looking back, it's possible that I had a problem with a facial nerve because of TMJ. I was in a lot of stress so I probably ground my teeth at night, also I had severe acne on my jaw so that could have been referred pain from that area too.

I do get some back pain. I have scoliosis but it’s not noticeable. So I have to keep my posture in check all the time and a lot of of back stretches

I have noticed since I started menopause recently that I get pain in the bones in my hands. I have that today, so I have to do a lot of finger stretches.

Usually something is hurting physically, but recently it's been more than usual, with swollen gums from a poor dental care, effecting eyes, ears, neck and shoulders. Also my derriere hurts from sitting so much!!

My advice is to let it ride out, and to disappear into things you love as therapeutic mental diversions.

My neck fusion causes constant pain. I refuse medication other than Tylenol. Slippery slope. I work on things to stay busy and put it in the background. I mostly do what I want and not let it rule me.

I'm always in pain. My body hurts all the time because of my tics

I hope you feel better soon

@Coralmist don't tell my doctor but I took two tonight lol
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@Cigarguy Sometimes, occasionally we have to be our own doctor 🌼
Cigarguy · M
@Coralmist I'm due for a refill so I was going to send him a message on my portal to see if he'll increase the dosage or give me 60 pills instead of 30 per month.

I hope you're feeling at least a little better now. I do have a sore foot from landing awkwardly on it a few days ago, but it's nothing too serious.

You should try, (if you haven't already,) acupuncture for your neck pain.

@Coralmist I really try to fight off things that reside in the recesses of my brain and jump out unexpectantly... but sometimes it's just hopeless.
I'm just a weak, flawed man... I acknowledge it, lol

I am so sorry to hear this. For some reason my knees hurt today. It's not even cold out. I don't get it. Usually cold weather triggers the arthritis in my knees.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
My knees and feet

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Can they give a bit more steroid inhaler??
@Coralmist Won't work for me no. I'm ok now after putting my bi-pap mask on for a bit then I took a shower and I put the mask on again for the night. It's 12.30am
Hope you feel better

@Coralmist it was a surgical procedure a fasciotomy I have one on each side of my leg to relieve the pressure from a blood clot that almost made the leg explode
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@KingofBones1 So they open the leg, very interesting. But wouldn't opening it that far be a much longer recovery? Or risk of infection 🙁
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@KingofBones1 Very glad they stopped any clot..phew. my dad has been bed bound two years now. Not even gotten up once, developed a clot,, and they put him on Eloquis. But now he has puffy feet and legs again. I don't think it's a high enough dose.
