How many paid sick days does your employer give you?

@Lilymoon He's really amazing. I have so many perks here - a cell phone for personal and work use, we close down the office every xmas for two weeks (on top of our holidays), he gives me spending money every time I go on holidays, time off whenever I need it, no questions asked. I'm just so lucky. Oh and his wife made him start giving us a day off every year to do our xmas shopping.

@Lilymoon Exactly! While I've been lucky and healthy (thus ability to bank so many hours) I know that's not the case for everyone. Some people need all of those hours plus some. So it's really unfortunate thing when you see others abuse them.

@Lilymoon Yep. The conversion is pretty weak (12 hrs sick to 4 hrs vac) but you can. Since I have so much sick I do.

@Lilymoon Loblaws pays minimum wage regardless of experience. And then you get a 10 cent raise for every 400 hours you work.

At Walmart I think you got an appraisal after working there 3 months, plus I started a little above minimum wage because I had experience. After that I think you get a yearly review and you can get up to a 40 cent raise regardless of your hours.


It's preeetty bad when you are making Walmart look like a better employer!!
