The way it works here is 99% of the time the catfish are extremely easy to spot.
The other 1% of the time someone is running a long con over the course of years and a few people will think they're a catfish and most others will be fooled. I can think of three pretty well-known users who ran that kind of long game. There are some genuinely wild stories.

I haven't ran into too many. I have a handful of ppl that I talk to. And I never add new people. I find it suspicious to just come out of nowhere and beeline straight to me. So because of that I am weary of ppl that I don't know.
@Nitedoc Well, I had a Beretta, but my supervisor forced me to trade it for a 7.65 mm chambered Walther PPK...making it just slightly over 0.30 inches. The Beretta was not considered to be a proper gun for my line of work; the Walther was said to have "a delivery like a brick through a plate-glass window"...and I used it effectively for years.
