SW, like life itself, is what you make of it.
smiler2012 · 61-69
@Nimbus 🤔a sad one nimby if you get fun poked at over your fat missus lol 😆😆😆
Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 Awww, you enjoy it really :)
smiler2012 · 61-69
@Nimbus 🤔i know nimby enjoy the banter with both you and ned no offence ever meant and none ever taken lol 😆

t3kkno · 70-79, M
I agree completely.
I think the EP format led more easily to finding people with similar interests, goals and things they were interested in talking about.
And in turn, that led to better conversations and feelings of community.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@t3kkno Exactly! You said it so much better than I did. What you just said, was pretty much what I was trying to say.🤣
DViper97 · 51-55, M
I agree it was definitely better. However this is the only place I was able to find after it closed. Hopefully you will find your stride here.
DViper97 · 51-55, M
@HelloItsMeAgain don’t block all of us! This one is too, however just like anywhere I think people make profiles with adult ages when they are not.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@DViper97 Lol! I won't. You seem too chill to block. I was thinking, the same. I was too afraid of my parents to go around lying about my age. Any time I would try to be an ounce of sneaky. They would always catch me.🤣🤣
DViper97 · 51-55, M
WellFrog · 56-60, M
You perfectly expressed the differences I, too, see in SW and EP. That community sense and freedom to truly connect with others is surely missed.
TexChik · F
EP was a bit of a zoo. However, mixed in among the fun and amazing people were the predators.

The lessons of EP ( how to conduct yourself in a wild social media setting...and survive) will not be forgotten. I lost touch with a lot of EP friends after the shutdown.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@TexChik I didn’t keep in contact with any of my EP friends after the shutdown.

You are so right about that! I learned a lot from EP! I loveddd being anonymous and being able to connect with others. Some users enjoyed being anonymous for Malicious intent. I may have posted a lot on there and interacted with the people who commented. When it came to personal messages. I interacted with like the same 3 people. I kept my circle pretty small on there. Just, the way I like it lol. I tried my best to stay as vigilant as possible. Open minded, but vigilant lol. Thankfully, in the end the good outweighed the bad for me.

I hope you have met some good people here!
TexChik · F
@HelloItsMeAgain I have. I keep my group pretty tight, but I also know a lot of nice people who, unwittingly, are the backbone of this site. People who are there day in and day out. I read their posts, react to some, and absorb others.

I know of several that were on EP that are my friends here. Some have tragically been lost, and others seem to have disappeared, not sharing my affinity for our friendship.

Anonymity is why I can be here. EP had a different vibe and was not nearly as policed or left-leaning as this site can be. But I have learned to play the game.

I had the same profile name on EP. Clearly, you didn't recognize it, so we must not have interacted much. 🤷🏻‍♀

There are good folks here, and some bad ones too. Blocks are a good thing sometimes. 🤠
MysteryGirl · 26-30, F
I totally understand. Sadly ep introduced me into the dark side of things at like 13 -15 years of age. Still tho i feel like experience project was better
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@MysteryGirl Oh shoot, I didn't start using it until I was like 19! I can't imagine what is was like from an early teens prespective. That had to have been scary at times. The content and users could be something else. As much as I loved EP. I can't imagine being on there as a 13 year old. I would be scarred for life....
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
The profile stuff can still be done, it is just on us to do so. EP was larger and had a more active base though. So there were more to discover. More people to disappear within. Here you end up running into the same folks over and over and that is probably the difference in anonymity you feel.
lifesatrip · F
I loved EP! This sight is just not the same. I felt the support on EP, but this place can be quite toxic. Its sad really 😔
val70 · 56-60
My sentiment in one word: exactly
Zonuss · 46-50, M
The world has changed Hello.
People are not the same.
The energy is not the same.
It all gone.
But if there is a light in you, then let it shine.
Never allow the darkness to change you.
Blessings always. 🙂
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
Was not around for EP but know people loved it.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@JackDaniels Well, we are happy to see you here!
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
@HelloItsMeAgain well welcome back.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@JackDaniels I see what you did there.🤣🤣
sgoodroe · 51-55, M
I definitely enjoyed EP more. I come here every couple of years for a few weeks, but always end up deleting my account.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@sgoodroe Great to have you back!... Lol! That may end up being me. I am pretty active on Reddit. I am sure that is going to be my main social media platform. If not, my only platform. I don't even have Instagram or Facebook anymore lol. I created this account a couple of days ago. I really missed EP and did some reasearch. This was the closest thing I could find. I am going to give it at least another week and see how it goes...
It was a different place and time
We were different people back then
Nothing is forever. Impermance is a blessing at times
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@pituitarypendulum You are telling me! I cannot believe I am a whole decade older!... Agreed, impermance can be a blessing at times. I find it to be bittersweet majority of the time. The growing pains are real. It's so important to cherish those moments while we still can...
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
I was there as well. I remember it being yellowish. I do agree this place is a lot more boring. But tbh There wasnt a real difference. Format is pretty much the same.
Same. Sadly that seems to be long gone here and this site for a few years now seem to have completely lost direction and since it is now a black box instead of an open and visible roadmap none of the users have any idea what the plan is for this site either.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
MartinII · 70-79, M
I agree generally. But you can search people's profiles here with no difficulty.
I hope you make nice friends on here :)
@HelloItsMeAgain I sent you a message so we can be friends :)
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@matthewjames Awesome! Getting ready to look at my messages right now. Sorry, ever since I created this post. It has been booming around here. I do love the engagement!
@HelloItsMeAgain oh ok I hope you find me :)
JustBeing · 26-30, F
Can't believe it's only 2012 when I started EP. And now it's 2026. Things indeed change 🥹
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@JustBeing Time really does fly and change! I was 19, when I first joined EP! Now, I am pushing 31. I hope you've been having a good experience here.
Nimbus · M
Thanks for BC 👍
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@Nimbus Ugh, you deserve it. Reminds me of something, I should be swearing by in my everyday life. Such a simple phrase. Yet, so much wisdom. Thank you for interacting with my post.
peterlee · M
A lot more Europeans on EP, especially French, Australians too.
val70 · 56-60
@peterlee Hear, hear! Missing those
popmol · 26-30, M
EP was a lovely place
popmol · 26-30, M
the only issue with EP was people said theres more perverts here but i feel like here its just more open, the amount of perverts talking to me in the EP days were numerous too

This site is a direct clone.

It’s the users that have changed.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@NerdyPotato 100%! It is wild!
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@AdmiralPrune Haha fair! *Me shamelessly scrolling through Reddit*
peterlee · M
@HelloItsMeAgain Catfish did not bite as much. Less scammers. An age gone by.

But we don’t get the kids on here, hopefully.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
