maybe 5% of the time. Funny I just now did that before coming to this thread.
Some guy asked a question about something and I was going to put a romantic response but I didn't want photos of wang showing up in my inbox.
HumanEarth · F
All the time now.

I was taught a valuable lesson and ruined a good friendship on here. For not fully reading a post all the way though and I also have the bad habitat of always trying to be the comedian. Sometimes I post inappropriate stuff.

So now I look even closer, because of my fuck up

(We're still talking, but we're not close anymore)

Very often, when I choose to reply anyway. I just did it with this one, probably because I feel like I’m just speaking to no one most the time.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
I do, sometimes.

Particularly when I think the comment isn't a good one.
akindheart · 61-69, F
never. i tried to think things through..and follow through
bowman81 · M
Pretty often, perhaps 20% of the time. Particularly on political posts. Feels kind of like banging my head against a brick wall when I get involved with those. I will start to post and just delete what I typed.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
It happens a bit. Mostly when I start a comment but have to leave before finishing, and when I get back to it the discussion is cold. Just knowing what I wanted to say was good enough :)
Morvoren · F
A good half the time. Sometimes it’s just better to stay off the posts here.
helenS · 36-40, F
Occasionally I write a well thought-out, elaborate comment on something and when I click on "Submit", the post is no longer available online 🤬 💀
pride49 · 31-35, M
Not often. If I was about to say something incredibly rude or mean, I might discard my own comment to forgo drama.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I am doing that more and more recently.
Most of the time…
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
Whenever my son calls me I leave n run. No I can't run, thats tiring.. I walk
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Quite a lot at the moment.

I refer back to sentences within the post and while typing a response it becomes clear that it's so obvious the poster is never going to get it so I delete the lot and move on.

More often than not, for quite a while now. Most everything I compose in my head to say, whether I actually start to type it or not, seems sort of inadequate or lame...to me.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Piper You are no doubt your worst critic.

Very often.
Rarely, only when I'm too tired or bored really. 😂
exexec · 70-79, C
Occasionally. It is always a good decision.
Bri89 · 31-35, M

Kuronekko · 41-45, F

YoMomma ·
Ehhh occasionally if it's .. i sometimes write long comments and don't comment
Sometimes but not often.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
A lot these days
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
Yeah I’ll start typing and then think “nobody is going to see the humour in this response” and delete before the SW AI hall monitor shows up.
AllycatAD · 26-30
80% of the time
pdockal · 56-60, M
Only if i lose my train of thought trying to type it coherently
DestroyerOfIdeologies · 26-30, M
99% of the time
