How long could you survive on the food you have in your home at this moment in time?

If you couldn't get out to a shop and get more
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
About three months.
After the upset with BREXIT and slowdown of shop bought supplies; three years of covid restrictions and shortages due to poor harvests due to flooding in some places, I now grow a lot of fruit and vegetables; buy meat locally and in bulk; always have a stock of pulses; rice; polenta etc. So at least three months of sustainable supplies

Perhaps three months if my daughter doesn't bring her friends home! We have a chest freezer and I do a lot of batch cooking.

Probably two months or so. I keep very well-stocked on dried beans, plus a significant amount of protein pasta and nutritional yeast. It would really suck, but no one ever said surviving the end times would be fun.

I could stretch it out for a good while. I used to live that life when I was in the height of my gambling addiction. I often didn't have enough money left for food so I'd have to eat whatever was left in the cupboards. Instant gravy with rice was a memorable one 🤔
@SW-User That doesnt sound too bad

Not long. I do have a huge box of Asda Wheetabix but not much milk. I need to go shopping but my cars at the garage...

Uhhh probably 4 or 5ish months. We have a full stand up freezer full of meat both wild and store bought everything from tomahawk steaks to rib eye roasts to chicken breasts and all cuts of chicken and beef and pork fish and frozen fruit. We have a full size freezer full of frozen vegetables and full size chickens and turkeys from my dads back yard, and store bought turkeys bread and other easy to make suppers, perogies, meat pies, breads, pizzas, chicken nuggets, fries,. Then we have a pantry full pastas of canned goods both store bought and jars of preserved food from our gardens over the years pickles to relish, salsa, to jams and jellies.....We also have two refrigerators one downstairs and one in the kitchen both full of many 4 liter jugs of milk and chocolate milk fresh fruits and vegetables and potatoes condiments....and spices for everything! And shelves downstairs full of juices and popcorn, crackers, boxes and boxes of cereal, multi vitamines junkfood chips and rice, flower sugars cartons upon cartons of eggs we have enough to feed a small army! But we are a family of 5 plus 3 cats! I have always taken great pride in my husband who he and my daughter do all of the grocery shopping every weekend or when need be.,He takes good care of his family and still makes his dollar stretch. We have just about everything imaginable its there in my cupboards or freezers or fridges. And Thank You Father God for overflowing our home with food.
if its summer I have squirrel's. rabbits, deer, turkey ,if needed .don't like eating summer animals but will if needed ..ponds with fish, in winter no elec I have two cows, one for meat one for milk, kill the meat cow hand is storage shed meat for all winter,,wood for years ..

this is the good part if country life ,as our forefathers did,,

TexChik · F
A year . We have a lot of the survival meal pack tubs and water. The freezers have enough meat ( beef, chicken , fish ) to last a good while , plus the home canned stuff from the farm.

I am a bit of a prepper.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
6-8 months give or take. We can bake our own bread, we can live on rice up to a year after we've eaten all fridge stuff.
deadteddy · 26-30, F
