I have been under hypnosis to regress to my past lives. I was skeptical but after experiencing it, I'm a believer.
@DearAmbellina2113 Hi :) I may i ask you something? Im looking for opinions :) but i dont want to ask it here as a replay that anyone can see coz some people might make fun of me. Would appreciate it if youll send me a message so i can replay you with my question (coz for some reason i can't message first). Thanx :)

I have certainly been curious about it, but I have no specific questions.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
Many people are curious

I was curious all my life so much so that I took courses and now I’m a certified hypnotherapist. However I only do it on my family when they ask. I do self hypnosis often
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@elafina I do it my kids once in a while but that’s it. There’s a lot of work that you have to put into it in terms of interviewing the person that wants to be hypnotized and creating scripts to use during the hypnosis session. so it can be time consuming and I don’t have time for that at least not right now. If you’re interested, I would be happy to to teach you how to hypnotize yourself
elafina · 36-40, F
@Jenny1234 I'd definitely be interested. How do we begin ?:)
Sttarwolf · 51-55, M
@Jenny1234 would like to learn
Matt85 · 36-40, M
They tried it on Mythbusters
They found they couldn't get anyone to do anything by suggestion
But they could remember, while under an attempted trance, details, much better of a very dynamic situation that they staged in their warehouse

My Dad, who is a gnostic Christian once told me that hypnotism was black magic. 😮
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Matt85 no people can not get up and do things by suggestion under hypnosis. It’s not black magic. It’s science
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Jenny1234 It's okay my Dad says a lot of things despite my efforts to purify his faith 😄
Teileach · 56-60, F
Not remotely. I think because anything to do with our delicate minds/brains could easily damage or influence in a way that would be of no benefit. I don't think it is something that should be taken lightly by those who are curious, even doctors or scientists do not have enough knowledge to dabble in such. Just my point of view though. Good question. 👍
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
@Teileach I appreciate our answer. The mind and subconscious should be given the utmost care and respect. There are certain things that it can be used to benefit, and just like anything.....it can be abused and misused. Always research and ask questions! have a great day
lonelyloner · 31-35, F
once upon a time I have experienced that , very weird and danger experience so far , but later I feel that it's not that really what people believe
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
No I haven’t. There was a hypnotist that would come here occasionally and hold sessions for those who wished to stop smoking, and other sessions for those who were over eaters and wanted to lose weight. I worked with two older ladies who went to those sessions. The one that smoked quit cold turkey. The one that wanted to stop overeating would come into the kitchen where we were working and smell the food and say she wasn’t tempted and did this for several weeks but in the end it didn’t work for her.
QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
I got hypnotized once. It was very interesting and also a creepy thing to experience
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
@QueenOfZaun understandable. a reputable hypnotist should always answer questions and explain everything beforehand. Even if its just a friend, you should know what youre getting into.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
I've been curious about hypnosis on many separate occasions.

I even listened to a few recordings.
The relaxation and focus aspects of it certainly seem interesting.
blackarcher256 · 61-69, M
I used it to deal with severe test anxiety. It worked fo me.
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
No, i have no remote interest in it at all.
looping · 18-21
i think it's bs personally.
TakeCare87 · 36-40, M
Can it completely block out past trauma without significantly affecting ones memory?
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@TakeCare87 Anything possible, but it usually works better to help you remember as opposed to making you forget.
TakeCare87 · 36-40, M
@DavidT8899 Thank you. I appreciate that.
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
@TakeCare87 Its about developing coping mechanisms that subconsciously can help you deal with the things that trigger those memories.
your jedi minds tricks dont work here...
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@DavidT8899 You know what I'm talking about now?
@DavidT8899 i remember some imagine if mr t was gay jokes or jackie gleson on his delirious video.. but it was a long time ago..
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout No,it was something else,it was pretty good.....
SeaGlass · F
Yes, and I've tried it. Total waste of my time and money.
SeaGlass · F
@FORMERLYbatovn Yes, this is what I've heard.
@SeaGlass Hi :) I may i ask you something? Im looking for opinions :) but i dont want to ask it here as a replay that anyone can see coz some people might make fun of me. Would appreciate it if youll send me a message so i can replay you with my question (coz for some reason i can't message first). Thanx :)
SeaGlass · F
@someonefromsomewhere1 No :) Thanx :)
I was on the stage once during a hypnosis show, and I didn't get hypnotized. I still think people are faking it. They want the experience a lot.
elafina · 36-40, F
How does it work ? Does it put your brainwaves in a certain frequency ? How is this done ?
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
@elafina Nobody truly knows exactly how hypnosis really works. ITs an exchange of consciousness an altered state of consciousness. its basedon helping the person relax and then guiding them into a much deeper sttte of relaxation and in many man cases they can be guided to different behavior or physical changes it doesnt work with everyone, but its more common than people think it is.
elafina · 36-40, F
@FORMERLYbatovn okay but don't people need to be in a particular state for it ?
FORMERLYbatovn · 56-60, M
@elafina every session is different and every person is different. some people are very susceptible to being hypnotized, others arent. The deeper the trance, the more effective the instructions are, but usually it takes a few times to develop the subconscious mind to react. Ive used a number of different processes, because everyone responds differently and every hypnotist has developed a way that they use as a base to begin from.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
I have been to a hypnotherapist. I also do self hypnosis every night using guided meditations
Lostpoet · M
I think you have to believe in that kind of stuff for it to have any impact.
Dreamer24 · 22-25, F
I’d be open to try it out
Jamie101 · 22-25
More than curious!
