@calicuz No, It would take a huge amount and it would dissolve with rain or snow. I don’t have money to throw away like that. I did put cheap cayenne pepper where the cats were messing around in my flower bed and that helped for a while… they probably got the red ass from it

@cherokeepatti Killing feral cats is doing wildlife a favor as feral cats kill millions of songbirds every year in the USA. When I was younger and did a lot of hunting I made friends with out local game wardens and all of them told me to shoot feral cats any time I saw one as they killed more birds and other wildlife than foxes or coyotes.

@acpguy The ones around here rarely catch a bird. I have noticed they will kill snakes and frogs though. I don’t know if they’ll eat frogs. I have seen two calico cats around here, look very well fed so I think someone is just letting them outside when it’s not too cold. They are stalking the squirrels that are at the feeder. The squirrels are faster than they are. Hawks will catch song birds, I’ve seen it here when a hawk rammed into the house. Went outside to see what happened and hawk had a robin down in my flower bed trying to kill it. He saw me and grabbed the robin and flew over into the neighbor’s yard with it.

@DrWatson It needs only know you 'phone (not you, the instrument) is within range of a given relay station. If that is omnidirectional you can be in any direction from it, so can be in a sizeable area.

The syetem only needs identify what telephone is near which relay, not why, not where within a large circle, or what its user is doing.

@NativePortlander1970 I mean, yeah I could do that.....but if they could then I wouldn't have the added expense of buying the big bags. I don't use anything more than the sandwich size on a regular basis.

@skmokisses They're reusable as long as it's dry cereal.

@skmokisses Just roll the top over - that's all I do and it works fine. If I want it a bit more secure I clip it with with a couple of clothes-pegs.

I use the emptied bags for wrapping bread and other foods.

@Entwistle A better solution is a TV that has your channel playing multiple times while recording, It buffers for 30 minutes, when an ad comes on, it switches to a channel where the ads just ended so your show continues and you can't even tell.
