I get out of bed. I don't WORRY about it, because I know that lying in bed will not help me to get to sleep if I am not sleepy.
I just get up and do something else. Watch a movie, or read, or play a video game.

Make sure phone is on extra dim, or i flip it over so its dark, (light destroys your circadian rhythm).
I also bought a very comfy headband with speakers built in so i can fall asleep in it, and they automatically turn off.
And - i gave up on stressing about not sleeping. The worrying was what was making me even more tired.

I lay in bed and watch a TikTok or YouTube video and I’ll usually fall asleep within a couple of hours. I don’t want to get up because I’ll be too tired during the day unless I go to bed at 11pm and wake up at 1am and it’s a Friday night or something where it doesn’t matter.

Usually it's because my OCD is high so I usually clean or get things ready for the day.

I get up, turn on my computer and start working on my income tax return 6 months early. Before I know it, I awaken in the morning and I'm still sitting at my computer with nothing done!
