Will have been married 56 years come mid December. Hasn't always been smooth sailing but always secure. Met my lady when I was 15 and married her when I was 19. We did some dumb things and learned from our mistakes. But now as life is nearing the end I can say we have completed each other. Would not have wanted it another way.

Unfortunately that opinion about marriages is going to happen considering each one is different, many times the two involved in them changing over time and ending up wanting different things. He and I married young and we definitely changed over the course of the 20 years we’ve been together. But as we changed we kept each other in the loop the entire time. Communicated a ton, the D word being brought up a couple times in those serious conversations. We worked through each obstacle together though and became each other’s person more and more because of it.

Well as Lady Mary from Downton said: Marriage is a novel, not a short story. There will be ups and downs but hopefully with love , dedication and same family goals everything would be alright.

Will be married 20 years in January.

I love my husband. I'd love him still if we werent tied together by a piece of paper too. We're not always happy. But we'd never consider anyone else.
