Why is everyone here seemingly disappointed in marriage? I will not have it.

Marriage is a beautiful thing. Please comment if you are/were happily married.

I am not against marriage, but I'm pretty sure I will never be married. I'm already 43 and I turned down a proposal in my 20s, and accepted a proposal in my 30s but ended the engagement after a while.

I just haven't found anyone I trust enough to marry.
