Civil War history

It's a book written by Todd McCaffrey, Anne McCaffrey's son, called Dragons Code. In the third book of the Dragonriders of Pern series, Anne McCaffrey tells of the Oldtimers and the exile of their rebellious dissidents to the southern continent. Todd picks up one event from that book, and backfills the story.

@4meAndyou It's great he's continuing the series! I haven't read any Anne McCaffrey's but have heard of them 🐉
4meAndyou · F
@BritChick Anyone who loves reading fantasies about dragons would love the series. Anne's daughter, Gigi, wrote her own extension of the series, called Dragongirl.

A humorous novel called "They came from SW19" by Nigel Williams. It's a follow-up to "The Wimbledon Poisoner" - set in the London suburb where the rather famous tennis tournament is held. (I used to live there in the late 1970s/early '80s)

@ArtieKat That sounds fun! ☺

My overall reading would be too much to relate, but the single most intensive focus of mine are the 14 completed novels of Charles Dickens, all at once through audiobooks, this will be an approach using multiple recordings per book, as well as repeating certain recordings.

I once read Asimov - I robot, and got gripped by it until I finished all the stories.
BritChick · 26-30, FNew
@Uncfred It's sad finishing a series 🥺
Uncfred · 61-69, M
I wish I could enjoy reading, all I read are text books to do with work.☹

Currently on the go The chemist by AA Dhand.
Bit of a thriller.

The Palestinian lie by O. Isaac.
Bit of an 'anti-Palestinian' rant. Supposedly disecting disinformation surrounding immigration into Israel and all the foreign interference ever since.

And Laugh out loud - short humourus stories for seniors - J Lee Ander
BritChick · 26-30, FNew
@Picklebobble2 Interesting mix!
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@BritChick I try and have three or four on the go at the same time.

A mix of historical; current and comedic.
That way I can dip in and read a chapter or two depending on how i feel at the time.
