Nope. Very comfortable flying. Even in helicopters.

Yet my first flight was at eight years old in a helicopter. 🤣

At ten I flew from LA to Sacramento with my father and half brother. And back.

At 14 I flew to Germany and by myself on two different planes. Exchange in Chicago. The reverse on the way back.

At 19 I flew from LA to San Antonio, then back to LA, then LA to Denver by plane and Denver to Cheyenne by military helicopter. 😈

I could keep on going. 🙃

Sometimes, sometimes not. The part that I don't like is when everyone stands up after landing and I feel enclosed, I get the same feeling on a packed train or bus, it's a horrible feeling.

Nope, 5000 hours of flight time now. I only get nervous about icing, even though the plane de-ices automatically.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
I will be taking my first flight soon. But I hope not.

No. I did a lot of flying when I was working, but not now. I did refuse to fly on one airline that no longer operates.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
No. I just dont enjoy sitting in a seat strapped in with hundreds of others breathing recycled air and queuing to get on get off, find luggage, go through security and wait.. and wait.. and wait...😷

I’m a nervous fryer. Hot oil scares me.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@EndlessHorizon As you should. And never deep fry anything without a shirt on.

@LordShadowfire Who had the side order of crispy nipples?😷
Commercial, not so much but, after watching air disasters you would think that I would hate the thought of boarding an airliner

Only if I have to fly the craft
If that's the case
Everyone on board should be nervous

Passenger to flight attendant:
How frequently do planes crash?

Flight attendant to passenger:
Don´t worry, just once!

No, not at all. The most dangerous part of flying is the drive to the airport.

Airline travel in my opinion is right up there with the half-baked concept of some fat American dude thinking he can make America great again, who was never great himself.

What we have today for the airline experience is the same experience it was over 60 years ago, no different really than what the 'real' world's perception has always been of the USA as Nation.

In both cases, the airline experience is poor for the traveling public who've had to deal with airlines and the global perception of America is poor for those who've had to deal with the American mentality. In both cases, nothing has changed in over 60 years... and in both cases, those experiences are getting more dysfunctional with each passing year.

When I fly on a corporate business trip about twice a month these days, I don't fly airline, I fly corporate jet. That doesn't mean we own a fancy corporate jet, it means we rent one for a few hours at a time.

Why corporate jet and not airline?

Because corporate jet flying made aviation travel great again which it never really was in the first place, which also means that airline travel today is no different than the USA ever was as a Nation in that regard.

Yes, very I’m very aware of the risk of dying::. But I used to be fearless as a kid and teenager where I travelled to Switzerland from Australia and back.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Ferise1 A ship is a much more civilised way to do a trip like that..😷
