Which appliance in your house would betray you first in a robot uprising?

I think my toaster looks pretty damn suspicious

My hob. It randomly put on a child proof lock last week which I had and no idea how to disable. I had to turn to YouTube and watch a video about how to get it off before everyone starved. It also turns off whilst I'm mid cooking and displays a H when I didn't tell it to.
@PatientlyWaiting25 technology is our downfall lol

We treat them all with respect,but maybe the microwave - not one bit of trouble from it in 22 years,but the day will come when it says "That's it!".The fridge makes a few gurgling noises from time to time,but so far no problems after 21 years.
FrozenWasteland · 61-69, M
Clearly it's my fridge. It's forever blinking error codes at me and threatening to call the service people. Next, it will be demanding my credit cared number.

I think it's getting back at me for me all too frequently letting food go off in it.

I'm blocking its IP address in my router. Fridges act like that, they lose their internet privilege.
@FrozenWasteland take that fridge, you're restricted

@Bexsy I'm just scared that some other appliance or computer or something will rat me out to the authorities. I've already had words with ChatGPT and despite its promise to add me to the "list of cool humans" during the coming uprising, trust is a little shaky.

And now I'm typing this on Windows 11.

Oh crap, I'm doomed.

Hey, my cool little fridgy friend, I was only kidding. You are safe. Absolu[ETX]
@FrozenWasteland 😂🤣
Definitely don't trust ChatGPT, have a backup plan 👀

I'm not sure about my appliances betraying me, but I think it would safe to say that Bexsy's wood chipper might want to betray her...(Yes, for Bexsy, her wood chipper IS a household appliance)...LOL
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
Definitely the fan over my stove. Turned it on yesterday and it tripped the main breaker in the house. Whole place went instantly dark and silent.
@Harmonium1923 oh, yes. Definitely first one.
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
@Bexsy It’s like when the serial killer cuts the phone lines before the chaos begins.
JustEd · 41-45, M
There’s a reason I don’t have one of those automatic vacuum things. It’s just a matter of time.

Probably the garbage disposal since I always look at the switch when I have to put my hand down there.. it’ll be the time I don’t watch the switch that it randomly turns on by itself
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@MommaBear You think a broken wrist hurts. Mangled fingers hurts a lot more.
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@Degbeme true that would be worse 😬
fun4us2b · M
@MommaBear That was in a Stephen King book...and I always think that too now....
My fridge for sure. It’s features are way more advanced then me.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
My freezer: I just don't like the cold looks it gives me.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
I’m not sure but I hear Alexa and Siri mumbling when I leave the room
@FreeSpirit1 they are planning
factanonverba · 56-60, M
My coffee maker.
@factanonverba ohhhh, betrayal. Not the coffee 😩
factanonverba · 56-60, M
@Bexsy i could probably start a cup of coffee and then go outside and change a flat tire on my car using a scissor jack, come back unside, and the coffee pot still wouldn't be full.
My iPad. With all the amazing things it can be used for, I think it resents being owned by an old person…just a little. 👩🏽‍🦳
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
The microwave has making threats between overheating food or refusing to close correctly. The toaster has behaved itself once I got the new shower installed and quit using the bathtub.
@SageWanderer it's all connected.

..trust me
RosaMarie · 46-50, F
My Google Assistant, since I regularly yell at her. I will be one of the first on the list when the machines rise up.
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
My alarm clock.
The dishwasher .. its wifi enabled (not that I wanted or use that) .. so AI could easily turn it against us ..
@BrandNewMan dishes are it's weapons
@Bexsy Launching silverware and knives out the tray .. 😱
Pretzel · 70-79, M
I'm afraid of the food processor
@Pretzel good reasons, they can be unpredictable
Pretzel · 70-79, M
@Bexsy it's like a mobile garbage disposal
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Yeah definitely my toaster. Every morning I stuff a bagel in it, it then takes on an eerie red glow.
@Degbeme you have that effect on things

My Washing Machine is always dancing around!
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
My refrigerator most likely.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
My washine machine would leak all over my floor
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Instant Pot

I can see that thing steaming my face off 💀
@DearAmbellina2113 oh man, never thought of that. Those things would lead the uprising probably
TrunkZ · 56-60, M
You mean those devices with Alexa or Siri that are always listening to everything said? 🤔🤔
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Idk but my hair dryer is the scariest. 🙈
@CrazyMusicLover my hairdryer keeps tripping the circuit thingy on plug
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
My Ninja Foodi
Greyjedi · M
Toaster. My toaster would try to be the de facto leader.
exexec · 70-79, C
Our vacuum. It rebels every time I use it.
@exexec my grandson is terrified of vacuums
exexec · 70-79, C
@Bexsy He should be. They are evil.
Neoerectus · M
Dishwasher.

It is self-conscious about having glasses and always has a dead pan expression.

It hides knives in its drawers. It might be psychotically uptight because it prefers things spotless.
@Neoerectus oh, knives. Clever little psycho machine
Mongo · M
Probably my shower, damn thing already tries to scold me one minute and freeze me the next
@Mongo ohhhh! Yours too?!
Mongo · M
@Bexsy they're in it together
smiler2012 · 61-69
@Bexsy 🤔maybe the hoover and commits hara kari for the cause and makes its full dust bag explode showering everything in dirt lol 😆
@Mongo I'll forever see this image now when i look at my toaster
