Eh, Trump said he was going to build a wall and lock up Hillary, then he failed to do either. He said he was going to bring back manufacturing jobs and grow the economy at 4% annually, and that never happened. He said he would end Obamacare, and failed to deliver on that as well.

There's a stark contrast between what he says and what he ends up doing. Even despite inheriting Republican control of both the House and Senate. He's a life-long entertainer and reality TV personality. The guy knows how to pander to an audience

I just hope people don't underestimate the impact of these words. We can't afford to be complacent.
Theyitis · 36-40, M
@SumKindaMunster I’m not surprised by anything you said. My comment was not intended for cult members like yourself but for people with the moral clarity, be they left, right, or center, to recognize Donald Trump for the psychopath and demagogue that he is. And cult members are not the only people that work for a living, there are still plenty of people with jobs that pay attention to mainstream media.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Theyitis
there are still plenty of people with jobs that pay attention to mainstream media.
No, sorry, trust in the media is at an all time low:

https://news.gallup.com/poll/403166/americans-trust-media-remains-near-record-low.aspx
At 34%, Americans' trust in the mass media to report the news "fully, accurately and fairly" is essentially unchanged from last year and just two points higher than the lowest that Gallup has recorded, in 2016 during the presidential campaign.

Just 7% of Americans have "a great deal" of trust and confidence in the media, and 27% have "a fair amount." Meanwhile, 28% of U.S. adults say they do not have very much confidence and 38% have none at all in newspapers, TV and radio. Notably, this is the first time that the percentage of Americans with no trust at all in the media is higher than the percentage with a great deal or a fair amount combined.
The working class supports Trump over Biden. Don't take my word for it, do your own research, you can start here:

https://www.deseret.com/2023/6/4/23735096/working-class-biden-trump

And you think Trump supporters are in a cult? Just because you can't see or touch the sides doesn't mean you don't yourself live in a bubble of propaganda and fear.
Ynotisay · M
@needsmilk808 You're not following me. For a reason. That's why one con artist climate denying "scientist" can carry weight while thousands and thousands show the other side with real evidence. it feeds the feeeeelings of the fearful. It's pitiful. The 'both sides' argument is right in line with "but what about." It's for the ignorant and emotional. So what they say becomes a moot point.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
which is similar to what biden did on day 1, except he opened the border and shut down drilling. trump triggers people like you and the news media effortlessly. it's amazing how you guys fall for it every time.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire and biden's DOJ is doing what it is ordered to do as well... raiding a former president's residence and going after his (biden's) political enemies. you know, like they do in a banana republic.
@boudinMan I should have known you'd resort to that tactic.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@boudinMan You noticed there was no reply to you. Lol!!! Keep up the good work 👍🙂
He warned ya...

Trump can't start soon enough. The democrats have wrecked the USA. Trump is the only hope for freedom.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
It's both frustrating and fascinating to watch people clutch their pearls worrying about his "authoritarianism" while simultaneously looking the other way at the authoritative regime we already have in place.

The leaders of this country are war mongers. Using our money to destroy other countries while simultaneously allowing the southern border to be overrun with refugees that they have partially created.
Krysclear · 31-35, F
After what they tried to do to him, alls fair
@Krysclear What the fuck? All they tried to do was prosecute him for treason.
Krysclear · 31-35, F
@LordShadowfire and made up ties with Russia, and that he was behind J6z he’s beaten every TRUMPED up charge they have made up against him.
But corrupt pedo joe and his coke loving offspring are still ruining the country

DEAD WRONG ON BOTH COUNTS!!

(1) Until very recently, Biden was bound by Title 42 migration restrictions, same border limits as Trump. Biden did NOT change the title 42 restrictions until this year.

(2) Actually, Biden has issuing drilling permits on federal land faster than Trump did. Biden put a moratorium on new leases, but he's outdone Trump in drilling permits!
Biden outpaces Trump in issuing drilling permits on public lands

Biden Outpaced Trump on Drilling Permits in First Year
Here's how conservatives mislead about this issue: they highlight Biden's moratorium on oil & gas leases and completely ignore drilling permits. Drilling permits are what actually result in oil & gas, and Biden has accelerated those. But few conservatives will never tell you the truth about it!!
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Everyone is well aware of the insurrection and racism inherent in the demonocrat party since 1823
@sunsporter1649 DUUUDE!!!
GQP are the folks who said the Jan 6 failed insurrection was merely legitimate political discourse

sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Keep trying, somebody might buy into your bullschiff some day
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
So Biden mandates are different than dictators. Got it.👍🏻
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Convivial sounds like a sort of stalin purge trumps mate in the kremlin will be looking on in pleasure . this is alarming for the american people and with other reasons it should be the perfect reason to vote for joe and keep this dangerous egotistic dictator out of the white house and away from power
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smiler2012 And that from someone who has never called President Trump anything but President Trump....
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@sunsporter1649 Is one of your children or grandchildren around? It is important that someone speaks to them so they can get you some help.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@sunsporter1649 yes very true i have called trump but i do and try reasonable dialogue to other similar worlds and civility . i think you and the rest of you ilk of trump voters followed suite it may politics and especially where trump goes a little less of a hot potato
specman · 51-55, M
I guess he is going to secure America first. By aggressively handling problems that are threatening National Security.
specman · 51-55, M
@LordShadowfire it will never pass
@specman Ann Coulter is a right-wing author & commentator, and was a big Trump supporter. In her crude way, she poses the question that I rephrase below.

Trump had 4 years as president, so it begs the question: why didn't he fix any of these big issues the first time around. And it begs another question: given that he was unsuccessful with many of these big issues, what reason is there to believe he will succeed on the second try?

FYI, here is a list of major unfulfilled 2016 promises from Trump.

In 2016, Trump
* Promised a tax cut that pays for itself;
* Promised to replace Obamacare with something better and cheaper that covers everyone;
* Promised a trillion dollars worth of infrastructure spending;
* Promised "We're going to see economic growth of 4, 5 & maybe 6%!";
* Promised to reduce deficit and eventually balance the budget;
* Promised to reduce prices of prescription drugs;
* Promised he had made the world safe from Kim Jong Un's missiles;
* Promised to LOCK HER UP!
* Promised to make Mexico pay for that wall;
* Promised to release his tax returns;
* Promised to cut the number of tax brackets, repeal the alternative minimum tax,eliminate the carried interest loophole, and allow individuals to deduct health care insurance premiums from taxes.

That's several trillion dollars worth of broken promises there, LOL!!
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
@specman I think rather than getting rid of the Democrat party we need more cooler heads back in power of the party. We need to get back to a bipartisan relationship within both the parties. I see way to many representatives on both sides supporting their party lines in their present form rather than their respective constituents. Both parties need some serious housekeeping.
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
I see it much differently. 1) clean up our government. 2) Enforce laws already on the books.
We don’t live in a democracy, we live in a democratic republic under the rule of law not mob rule.
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire I do agree we are a representative democracy, there are significant differences however between a pure democracy and a representative democracy, there are people that would like this country to go in the direction of a pure democracy and I think we need to look to history. I read a lot about Roman history and the destruction of the senate. And the results created by democracy ( mob rule). We need some basic laws to curb the mob, and that’s what a constitutional republic and a constitution outlining some basic inalienable rights gives us.

History. Yes, good. Great place to start.
I read a lot about Roman history and the destruction of the senate.
Yes, so they could turn Rome into an absolute dictatorship with an emperor. I guess you didn't read far enough.

Pick a lane, dude. You're either in favor of curbing people's rights or affirming them. Can't be both.
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire thank you for sharing you views, you’ve given me allot to ponder.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
You poor bastards
Bumbles · 51-55, M
I think MAGA is looking forward to “The Retribution.”
Bumbles · 51-55, M
@needsmilk808 I think you’re going to get quite a bit more.

What about the federal government leaves you unsatisfied?
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
@Bumbles lol I fully expect no change from this administration so naturally I expect continued corruption and dissatisfaction in every aspect of the federal government.
Bumbles · 51-55, M
@needsmilk808 Understood, thanks.
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
I’m not in favor of the military tribunal direction for punishment but I am in favor of something like a permanent exile, never to hold any sort of public office ever again.
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
@MasterLee Most if not all who would face tribunal would be those that have committed treasonable offenses, and while the death penalty is well deserved it could do more harm to the country/ world than these people have already done.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@needsmilk808 not sure leaving biden in office helps us
needsmilk808 · 56-60, M
@MasterLee no you’re right, he has to be removed from office if not for the the sake of the country but quite possibly the world
cracking down on immigration is good....but really I fear at what cost....I wouldnt care about his gigantic ego or whatever if he just focused entirely on immigration his whole presidency

immigration is probably going to cost biden the presidency and he doesnt even know it, people want a hard line on immigration

He is telling us who he is.

I hope people are listening.
Even if you voted for him both times (and I'm not saying I forgive you for doing that), we all need to be worried about what he's going to do next.

After how the establishment has treated Trump and spread lies about him since 2015, he needs to clean house, secure our borders, and bring the economy hack, I do not blame him a bit.

@Patriot96 yup, from his own mouth and those closest to him.
Nike, there's two things that can happen here
The first is you read what he says and what those closest to him says about what he will do if elected.
The second is you don't really care and it fits inside your agenda of wanting to blame someone else for where you are in life.

Personally, i don't really care what you believe or think...
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Patriot96 Yeah I had a hearty chuckle at the notion that The Atlantic and The New York Times are "credible" media institutions.
