Former President Donald Trump and his allies are preparing for an aggressive expansion of his powers should he take back the White House.

That includes more power to crack down on immigration and overhaul the Justice Department to punish opponents.

Trump mocked fears about his authoritarianism tendencies at a Fox News town hall on Tuesday, stating he'd be a dictator only on "Day 1" so that he could close the border and start drilling.

DEAD WRONG ON BOTH COUNTS!!

(1) Until very recently, Biden was bound by Title 42 migration restrictions, same border limits as Trump. Biden did NOT change the title 42 restrictions until this year.

(2) Actually, Biden has issuing drilling permits on federal land faster than Trump did. Biden put a moratorium on new leases, but he's outdone Trump in drilling permits!

Here's how conservatives mislead about this issue: they highlight Biden's moratorium on oil & gas leases and completely ignore drilling permits. Drilling permits are what actually result in oil & gas, and Biden has accelerated those. But few conservatives will never tell you the truth about it!!
