I’ve lived 2 years longer than I thought I would after being diagnosed with cancer. We also were in a car accident a couple months later that totaled both cars and survived that. It kind of made me put things in perspective then, we both could have died that day. I take it one day at a time. Thankful for all the prayers and help that I’ve been offered (and accepted)…thankful that Ray and his grandson are so good to help with whatever I need help with. We have roof over our head, food in the pantry and feel like God is watching over us.

I am extremely grateful to God. He has intervened to bring health to my sick friends, to bring bounty to my neighbors when they don't have enough to eat, and He brings me peace. No one could ask for more.

@4meAndyou Excellently stated.

You are right. It’s practice to be grateful. There are too many things we take it granted. For example, internet which gave to access to SW to express.
I start my day being grateful that I woke up.

Have already surpassed the life expectancy prognosis of my two cancers, still financially secure 31 years after retiring early and fearing I was making a mistake, watching not only my sons have successful, self-sufficient lives but my two grandkids well-launched on careers of their own during this turbulent economy and job market.

I'm not religious in the slightest but what you just wrote says it all. I have scant little to grumble about.
