Have you ever felt awkward around somebody?

Yup. I get VERY shy when I see some guy whom I find attractive, especially if he says Hi. My shyness kicks in and my eyes go right down to the ground, and I just can't look at the guy.

Yes. There were times when I was the only non-Ph.D. in a room of experts. I always felt a bit awkward and didn't want to show my ignorance any more than necessary.

Yes. I remember being teased mercilessly as a young kid and that led to constrained and awkward interaction until I reached a comfort level, and a concern for who may be watching. Then one day I discovered that I had a lisp, and suddenly I was being asked to repeat myself.

Thankfully I outgrew all that crap and rose above it :)
