Favorite: classical chamber music (Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven, Ravel, Dohnányi, Schoenberg, Webern, etc.)
Least favorite: so-called "hip hop", "gangsta rap" and other excrements...

Not sure I have a favourite because my tastes are too broad. Among my favourites are the Romantic and Modern eras of loosely-called "classical" music, traditional folk, heavy rock and rhythm-and-blues (proper R-&-B, not what I call "Supermarket Music).

Least favourites? Rap (incomprehensible to me anyway), Drum-&-Bass ( empty boom-boom-boom, bang-bang-bang & repeat) and similar.

Hardest to listen to? Ah, you didn't ask that! A lot of the more avant-garde, which to me seems aimless, formless and self-indulgent... though to be fair if composers did not experiment, music would stagnate so I welcome them doing so.

Metal for me. Don't ask the subgenre, too many to choose from, I just kinda lump 'em all together.

Least is dubstep/edm. I just can't get into it

I listen to a wide variety of music from gangster rap, '80s, Rock, country, and heavy metal. I don't have a specific genre for say I have to relate to the lyrics if I cannot relate to the lyrics I do not listen and the only music I do not like this classical or Opera

Don’t really have a favorite genre. Like mostly everything from 60s - early 2000s

Least favorite is probably rap.

Difficult one! Have been rediscovering classical music these last few years.Among the popular styles, though: Swing, jazz and first generation rock are my favourites. Least favourite is rap; that's probably an age thing, because my grandfather was too old for jazz and my father too old for rock!

Favorites are: British 70's/80's rock (Genesis, Yes, Led Zeppelin, etc.), Jazz Fusion, Classical
Least favorite: Old Country, Opera

Rock music like Tool, Primus, Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Least favorite, I despise country western music. Calling it music is too kind, it's whiners, whining.

I listen to a mixture: show tunes, classical, 60's and 70's rock and roll, classic country, folk, Celtic, 40's & 50's pop, traditional Christian, and all of Jimmy Buffett.

@TravisTx I like some of their early albums, especially "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" (the one with Syd), and "UmmaGumma".

@helenS yes, I liked those also. I do feel they continued improve, post Syd, though…with the addition of David Gilmour. Nothing like a Gilmour solo, imho!

@TravisTx They became more commercial and streamlined after the album which contains the song "Echoes", in my opinion. Their later music isn't bad either, just less "adventurous", a bit more middle-of-the-road. Just my 2c

Mine is a blend of rock and roll, soul, rhythm and blues, early (classic rock), pop (of the time) and some folk... music from the 50s, 60's, and most of the 70s.
