I watched an early episode in 1966 when I was 16 and thought it was incredibly stupid. Four years later in college, smoking pot, i watched an afternoon rerun and thought it was the best TV show ever!
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@hunkalove I have tried to watch the original a few time's. I rather watch Enterprise or the new shows then the original

Watched Captain Kirk in my very young and formative years.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@AndysAttic when I watch it I always see Captain Kirk, I never see an actor playing Captain Kirk.

The original series was on in the early 90s when I first lived on my own. It was in that 6 - 6.45 pm slot which was ideal for me to watch while I was eating my tea. Later that same spot would be filled by Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@Luckylu tea is what we generally call our evening meal. It's not technically the correct term but it is the one used the most colloquially.
Luckylu · 61-69, F
@Jacko1971 Thanks for the explanation, had not heard it used that way or I just didn’t realize they were referring to it in that manner.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@Luckylu Most will refer to breakfast, dinner and tea. Technically it should be breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner is your main meal of the day and for most it is eaten in the evening. We tend to say lunch and tea. Sometimes we say dinner for our evening meal.

Not really but I have seen it when my dad watches it, it is a very old show he used to watch it when he was my age.
kylew · M
@kylew and my Mom thinks it is silly she wont watch it.
OverTheHill · 56-60, M
Just finished Season 2 of ST: Stange New Worlds on Paramount+. I'm really enjoying it. Even the musical episode.

Star Trek is a way of life! Life now in America is like the Borg collective.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@B2nd2none the Borg was all was my favorite part of star trek.
B2nd2none · 41-45, M
@smileylovesgaming Its the reason Voyager is great as it has plenty of great Borg related episodes.
