I’m a Lovecraft fan, so I like this vibe.

Grew up on H. P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, frank Belknap Long, Robert E. Howard, etc. -- all the "Lovecraft Circle" and the Cthulhu Mythos since my early teens in the early 1960s. Not so sure about it being existentialist, though.

I appreciate absurdity, surrealism, and I think existentialism offers an answer that without an answer that offers some semblance of thought making sense in this world....now I rarely see it in a horror comic sort of way, but I see it.

It's not my forte, but I enjoyed the climax of 2011 movie Cabin in the Woods, for its cosmic horror vibe, which was completely unexpected. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it still sticks in my head.

@smileylovesgaming Cosmic horror is a term used for the works of H. P. Lovecraft and similar/related authors -- essentially horror with a mix of science fiction which deals with cosmic entities and forces.
