Walt Disneys Fantasia , esp Night on Bald Mountian....it gave me chills. The artistry was amazing and i loved its dark theme.
It made me wanna be an animator or illustrator and nudged my desire to draw.

@OogieBoogie I smell rain on pavement every time. I was in Japan during a week of rain and it takes me back to that too.

I couldn’t say what’s great about Totoro better than you! What a nice surprise to have this conversation. Thank you…

People speak about "cultural insensitivity" now…they truly have no idea how cartoons used to be:

These are probably banned now.
@bijouxbroussard I know! I mean, just take a look at some of the "stereotype" cartoons from the 1940s-60s.
@latinbutterfly This was from the 1960s. I remember rolling my eyes, but I watched it just the same.

And then we lost our Philly channel and were stuck with PBS for the rest of my childhood cause we didn't have cable.
@DDonde We didn't have cable either but luckily all of my favorite shows were on either ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and a couple of Spanish language networks.
